With a reshuffle resulting from a new Prime Minister anything requiring Ministerial approval that is not critical may end up being delayed while new ministerial teams bed in. So if there are any £300m contracts they are likely to be delayed while new financial priorities are agreed.

That might be good for HARl. With Sunak in No10 thee is likely to be a squeeze on defence budgets. As far as the FSS contract is concerned we might see that cut back to only two ships. It is unlikely that HMG will want to go too far above the original budget. That would be bad news for Team UK. Also I do not see Sunak agreeing to 3% of GDP on defence. One question we will find out in the next 48 hours is whether Ben Wallace will remain in post or moved.

EarlofAim If you really must ramp and I would rather you did not can you please keep it fact based. I am not aware of any contracts for circa £300m. Any contracts of that size would have been noted by one of the regular posters and discussed.

Just seen this question to the BEIS Ministers for tomorrow 'What discussions he has had with Cabinet colleagues on Scotland's offshore renewables potential' Who will be the Secretary of State tomorrow is anybody's guess. HARL has to sites that may be affected by this answer.

mcadder ref 18.28 post I have read these comments I do not know the person who posted them but he does make some thoughtful comments on the issue. I also noted on the same thread some resigned comments that seem to indicate people think Team Resolute will get the bid.

I see trading today was more like what we normally expect on a no news day. I wonder what next week brings.

Chrisatrdg JW has been busy on LinkedIn but my concern is whether these messages are reaching the right people. We need in my opinion an operational/trading update so that we know what is happening. This is especially needed for those who do not have access to social media.

Rogetrades ref 21.22 post the importance of this is twofold. Firstly, it indicates that the agency that gave the rating does not think that HARL is at risk of bankruptcy. Secondly, contrary to some posts on social media it shows that the view of the company that gave the rating believes that HARL has sufficient income to repay a larger amount of debt.

It is worth noting that the increase is just shy of a two thirds increase. Chrisatrdg can you post a link to this report?

Lottie123 ref 16.47 post I think if the SP is to get any traction the markets will need to have confidence in the management. I am not sure that has been achieved yet. I recall I think it was you that said that we should see around 4 contracts in October. Thee are 7 trading days left in the month and no sign yet of any of the anticipated contracts this undermines confidence in management ability in the timely concluding of contracts.

Rodgetrades ref 15.24 post the reason why I found it concerning is that normally at most we would see around 1m shares traded so for around 8% to be traded in one day is not normal even allowing for the interview by the CEO. Also there has been no TR1 filed so we have no new significant shareholder or an existing one changing their holding. This begs the question where are the shares coming from.

Bubble2021 ref 13.55 post while your statement is correct a new Prime Minister may have different priorities. Also there is no guarantee that Wallace would remain in post under a new Prime Minister. In any event the Ministerial visit last week was by the Minister of State at BEIS not sure why she was visiting.
