Jabido ref 08.51 post T actually checked both the Order Paper to see if the MoD were making a written statement on the tender. As it is just factual information this would have been possible but there are no written statements today from any government department. Oral statements do not appear on the Order Paper and generally are tweeted by the House of Commons an hour or so before the sitting starts that day. In theory the government does not have to give an oral statement. However, with a contract this size which has been scrutinised by a Commons Select Committee and has been subject to parliamentary questions I would expect an Oral statement. Ian Blackford would throw a fit to shame a toddler if there was no statement.

Jabido ref 07.56 post morning to you as well. Personally I am not expecting the judgement in the marine license JR this month. The judge hearing the JR will be aware that he is likely in my opinion to be appealed so is likely to take care with the judgement. On the FSS there was no written statement today. I will check later to see if there is an oral statement. Going by the Telegraph article on Saturday the decision might be with ministers.

Chrisaredg ref 16.22 post the reference to Back to Back is to this being the third Stena vessel to be serviced in about two weeks. It is still showing as leaving at 9am tomorrow.

I note that Stena Superfast is showing as making an hour long visit on Saturday evening.

I wonder what the Minister meant by 'Due to commercial confidentiality the exact job number linked to the NNG are not available but as part of H&W overall Scotland project.' In would interesting to know what is meant by overrall Scotland project. I note that the Minister put both Methil and Arnish under H&W Methil and not as separate businesses.

In view of this article I checked the Order Paper and there does not appear to be any written statements from the MoD today. We will know after lunch if there will be an oral statement this afternoon. If there is then we will not hear anything from HARL until after close of trading.

On news generally I note that it was reported that at the AGM that there will be contract news in October and I recall that there was talk about four contracts. We have gone the whole month without any news. This does not inspire confidence in the BoD's ability to close negotiation and reinforces the markets negative view of the management . A trading update would be helpful. if only to reassure shareholders that things are still on track.

RoughStorage ref 08.36 post I recall reading that BAB and/or BAe are considering using Ferguson for subcontracting work. Completing work on time does not seem to be a concern.

Some people have said HARL should takeover Ferguson Marine that idea has been shot down in social media. It would never get shareholder approval.

What I find interesting is that it contains quotes from John Wood which seem to indicate that the gloves may be coming off. I note what he says about ships not being built on time and on budget for decades. The point is also being mad about skills transfer.

It is also worth noting that this article is in the Telegraph which is pro Conservative so for them to say that Team Resolute is the front runner is noteworthy. Finally I note that there is a suggestion in the article that around 60% of the work may be done in the UK. If that is correct then we may need an upward adjustment to how much HARL will get from the contract.

I would observe that Nusrat Ghani recently visited H&W Belfast the day before her Scottish counterpart. She would have seen the Cory Barge Project which would have qualified for funding under the scheme. Hopefully she can manage to get the scheme up and running this year.

If this scheme can get up and running then it could unlock significant funding for HARL. It could help move the Sicillian IV closer to being built as hopefully that project would also qualify.

I have just checked the MoD website and While Mr Chalk KC MP is showing as a Minister of State it does not say what his responsibility is sohe might get the Defence Procurement portfolio

Iamsailing ref 11.36 post thanks for this I note that a senior Investment Banker who appears from the TR1s filed to be buying on his own account and holds 10% of HARL does not from your list to have disposed of any of his shares. I am therfore on that basis content to hold my current shareholding.

Iamsailing ref 11.54 post I have just checked the RNS on the Debt Facility it states

The Facility will be split into two tranches:

· A committed facility of $35 million

· An uncommitted accordion facility of up to $35 million

What was agreed to yesterday was the second tranche which is stated as uncommitted which seems to me to imply that the second tranche was not a definite and RCP could decline that tranche. I am sure someone on here who knows financial instruments better than me can let me know if I have got that wrong.

Unless they were forward sold last week when we had the abnormal trading days it looks like so far none of the consideration shares have been sold.
