I'm of the opposite view Roger. I think the DD completion tells us that the wheels are turning in the background. Previous RNS's have mentioned non binding offers. I can't see the process getting to completed DD if the nonbinding weren't ballpark acceptable to the BOD.
We don't have an offer communicated yet as we don't have a binding offer as yet. Given DD has finished, a binding offer or a withdrawl from the process are logically the next steps.
Throw in the mention of other interested parties, and some sort of sale of something substantial looks more likely than ever to me.
What the offer is likely to be if/when it comes is, I agree, still up in the air
