Well if one were to believe mac, the acceptance of the DFS was the last piece of the puzzle that just needed to be dropped into place before the salivating would-be buyer(s) swooped in to complete the asset sale and shower pis with gold. ! approved DFS —> oven-ready deal, yay!

so if mac’s has been telling the truth, then end of august could have been perfectly reasonable, eh? — but then again, mac’s been saying that x, y, & z (& a, b, c etc …) have also been the last pieces of the puzzle, for several years now, and mac’s claims have been wrong every step of the way. bizarre how many people fell for them for so long, imv.

In the meantime i can work on the picture-book spin-off, ‘where’s welcher?’

… not really a ‘high volume’ of anything re EUA these days. BoD have nothing new to say, no sale in sight, chatboards on ADVFN & here winding down, share price & volume stagnating, welchers hiding, cobwebs forming over the spammer, etc etc.

Seamus, i don’t know what you’re up to this evening. i’ve given you straight and honest opinions when you’ve asked me, but you seem quite belligerent for some reason. i suggest it’s usually better not to take these chatboards too seriously? - they are primarily just for mild amusement and interest, rather than investment advice etc.

i don’t have any advice for other people, yourself included, what they should do with their EUA shares. all are adults who should make their own decisions. i am not trying to convince you of anything, seamus. (& if you don’t like my opinions, you don’t need to ask for them, and you don’t need to read ‘em. i won’t mind!)

but i *do* have a view for myself about EUA, which is that i think it is a pretty poor investment which i would not want to invest in. i don’t believe that the underlying assets are worth anything like the kind of values that have been touted around this board etc. for years. (- for sure, putin’s war has not helped EUA, but the more fundamental problem imv is simply that their assets aren’t actually worth much; i think the war has exposed that issue, in the sense of the tide going out showing who has been swimming with no shorts on, rather than created it.)

i expect that they will continue to say that they hope to sell their assets, and i expect that they will continue to fail to do so (well, for anything other than nugatory consideration). that’s the same old story for EUA over *many* years. ajmho.

Seamus, jeez fellah, i assume you’re a grown-up, so make your own decision.

i don’t have a view what you (or other holders) should do with your EUA shares, that’s entirely up to you. no skin off my nose whether you stick, sell or top up.

A bet’s a bet. welchers throughout history have tried to use the excuse when they lose that “it was only a joke”, “i didn’t really mean it”, etc. but slightly less common that they send out one of their pals to make the excuse for them. shame on you, rags.

(i don’t believe it will be settled either, but that just reflects my view of IKN’s character. i think the guy is welching on a bet for charity.)

Hi rags, personally i thought it was extremely unlikely! — but IKN made the bet nonetheless, duh, and then asked to increase the stake. me, i thought it was a pretty stupid bet on his part, but IKN made it nonetheless, so he should honour it.

? are you trying to argue that the bet should not be settled?

(meanwhile, plenty of other rampers on this chatboard have made all sorts of predictions over the last few years about when a sale would happen, all wrong so far.)
