RE: seasoned investers - please advise.....22 Jul 2020 13:28
hope this helps: its not flying further at the moment because:
1. This is a phase 2 trial which means it cant be marketed etc yet. It has not been peer reviewed yet and the sample size is very small. Thus there is some degree of risk. It is not risk free.
2. On the results of the phase 2 trial, then the company is now fairly priced and most of these types of shares move upwards properly on RNS statements. Thus it is poodling along sideways for a bit. The forecast if all goes well may be exceptional and thus why people are staying in. But it has gone up 500%+ on that likelihood already so will probably now need some more results / info to move a lot higher.
3. The Uk Gov bought the Oxford vaccine company to take control. Thus, if this is a go-er medically, i can see Gov stepping in to control. Rishi seems pretty bright and has tons of dosh and the NHS will be its no 1 customer likely as not. It certainly will have some strings attached to funding it.
Thats my take - might be right, might be wrong. I have had them for 5 years and averaged down 3 years ago; average 17p so i am watching it pretty closely. Clearly massively up. Have debated selling but i sold Ocado, Next, Google, Amazon all too early... but i quite often listen to Bloomberg TV and when they asked the CEO of Carlyle how he made his dosh his reply was " i always sold too early" and i often remember that in my more mad moments. Hope this helps you.
