Fujifilm might be a safe long term investment per se but i wouldnt get hung up on japanese companies buying Synairgen .... i sold business to a UK plc on a 5 year earning; we sold on to a japanese company - largest in Asia - took 2 years; but more importantly they are all fixated on 25 year returns rather than a 5 year plan. So if it they were into COPD and could see he 25 year plan, then OK, but the likelihood of splurging a few hundred mill on a punt over 2 years, IMHO is unlikely.
I dont think this is a winner takes all race. No one company can supply global demand. This to me is several companies all take a bit of the pie. Not all the gain will go to Synairgen - it has to be shared with Philips who make the nebuliser and the german company making it... Licensing seems more likely to me or wait till you get COPD results and sell to a company whose long term corp strategy is COPD.

OK.. explain me this logic... i can buy 50000 if i want to. If there is a large order 'going through' as you suggest, then why dont the MM simply fulfil it?
In my experience things dont tend to move more than 3 fib points in a day without rns or news or something. They then toodle along as the mass of the population doesnt quite know whether to sell or buy. Hence, patience required.

Novice... if you go to investing.com, click on the technical tab it will give you the fibonacci and other points for various time frames. Click on the daily one. Where it say 1 2 3 etc either right or left, will show you the trading bands. 3 would be 3 std deviations from the mean so the rise today has been enough. Beyond this, it will be outside the norm.
I dont think today is anything to do with large orders in the background etc due to the fact you can buy 50000 easily at the moment. Its in its trading band at the moment and there are not enough people currently willing to risk buying at 224 which is already 3 std devs up from where it finished on friday. People en masse exercise some degree of caution.
Patience required. Either needs time or an RNS to move a long way upwards. Its toodling along at the moment.

My uncle is a Zoology prof at cambridge ... he says the bat virus to covid is 97% similar whereas the pangolin is only 70% similar so their view was that it jumped from the bat in the blood as it was being chopped up And its not a good idea to have bat on the smorgasbord per se. My take though, if it cheers you, is that every big pharma company will invest if a) its in line with their strategy b) means they have a long Term interest in lung desease per se c) can see past the short term potential surge in revenue from virus and see long term earnings potential year after year on eg copd etc. So i dont think it will affect anything per se. These companies all used to be my analytics clients and Open data sharing... to do the contracts just on analytics normally had global head of trading, medics, lawyers.. theyd fly in from across the planet - i used to think each meeting cost 30k... so i think the ones who will be interested will have a long term lung strategy. If he drug works and cures everyone the virus dies, so i wouldnt want to be eg sanofi in a years time saying we Diverted from our cancer strategy To spend 300m chasing a virus which has now gone and died on us.... if you get my gist. If i was heavily into copd already and lung treatments then i can see that i would say we i vest3 for the technology and the short term gain will be Reinvested in further lung treatments so we will give a special divi to our shareholders and then revert to copd. Etc etc. So dont think your report will change much. Take care.

Thats interesting mr big as i thought the idea was that it went straight to the lung tissue rather than via the blood stream, which dilutes it, so it would make sense i guess if less was used but i thought it was that it was super strength essentially where it was needed.... i thought this is why they are trying to work out how to deliver to those on ventilators ie some sort of mechanical puffer thing working with the ventilator or whatever ?!?

This one is worth paging down a couple of pages to see the charts published in the bmj.... More interesting to see than reqd - the bmj also made available as a you tube video ... so gov just slow to implement - they seem a step behind the action. Anyways, there is lots on masks and so not really up for debate.

Here is another one... on apr 12 the doctors union stated that 75% of their doctors could not access ppe when required so perhaps the slowness of action was related to protecting the nhs staff to start with. More likely incompetence though... the london and oxford hospitals were lobbying for them for weeks and weeks.

Thee is actually loads of evidence on masks and i absolutely know that much of it has been done by the oxford hospitals who have been lobbying the gov for months. Ditto the london hospitals, since march - i know as i have seen some of the letters. I will try and find the link for the oxford stuff. Mayor of london started lobbying for them about a month ago...

Jackaroo: im on your page to a certain degree but on what rough basis are you making the value you suggest? Further, given that the nebuliser and production are not in synairgen, just the ip as i understand it, do you have a view on the split of the upside between philips - interested as another public co and the german private co actually making it. Presumably the latter is already under licence? The upside will not all be for synairgen here.. is philips a punt in your view for example?

Luckyno7... yeah that to me was the only interesting thing he said in the whole speech As the rest had gone to the lawyers two Years ago so had been known for a long time. My take is that its going to take quite a few companies to supply demand as trump having signed up rendesivir does not have enough clearly as florida has 10000+ cases per day at moment and you need 14 doses per person etc etc. So 40000 aint going to get too far imho if the number he quoted is correct. But also i thought going to need to be patient here ( i have held for five years) as if multibn corp like gilead cant produce enough and scale up and synairgen has i understand 78000 doses at moment, then going to take a little while to scale up. Also, i think all this stuff on this board about right to use etc is a side show. Two reasons - i think a decent consultant would only use right to dose with extreme caution as a last resort and it cannot be used on unconcious patients but more to the point the law is unnecessary for synairgen imho as if we have 78000 doses they can simply call it as a clinical trial, which would go through anyway and would get them the data they need, again imho.
For a big pharma to spend £300m on any company it would need to fit in with their long term strategic strategy. The problem with the virus is it might be a short term money earner - if The drug works, the virus dies and In a year you have spent £300m on a company which is no longer being used as virus died out. So to me, if i was big pharma This has to be able to be used for other things than the virus as well like the copd and thus offer long term growth to that big pharma co. So as the results are due on copd shortly, i think that would be he real game changer to be honest. Bit like chelsea, man u at moment to my Way of thinking - Deals change if they are in champions league after sunday or not. Seems to me that governments want short term tactics but big pharma needs long term revenue earners. Might be wrong but i think a bit of patience required. Joey, even rendesivir cant supply enough just for florida for one week. Synairgen can currently supply 78000 people if i read it correctly so i dont think its going to rescue trumps presidency and i hope not as his actions over the last few weeks, imho, have cost tens of thousands their lives for his personal and selfish gain. Im for the women! New zealand, germany, taiwan etc dont seem to be so bad as trump, bolsonaro, boris, putin, xi you name it... Leave virus up to the Women as they will protect their Children at all costs...):
