MS2017... i came to a similar but slightly more bullish conclusion yesterday trying to write a hypothetical investment report for the company... do doing a swot analysis we all know the upside opportunity. the threat is clearly a faster competitor which needs to be avoided / and / or a big pharma buying to simply close to protect their own revenue; i ended up thinking the biggest threat was lack of hours in a day to accomplish everything in a small company and enough hours in a day to get the licencing deals / etc. So as i have inadvertently ended up owning quite a lot i have got on phone this morning to varying people who may or may not be able to help them, having been in a very similar position in my business. It seemed easier, at least to em, to get resource into Synairgen to cut the deals than, for example, Philips being able to scale up from 20,000 nebulisers to a million. I'm kind of also wondering why those not invested in Synairgen are not equally invested in Philips if the upside is bns. I dont actually know the position but just from having run a small business and converted it to a big one, then they seem to me rightly or wrongly to be the two biggest issues. I can appoint someone to peer review and if they say i need bigger sample, pretty quick to do; i can appoint patent lawyers ditto; i have a ton of well regarded medics. tick box. But one man only has 24 hours in a day and he has to do a lot of jobs. Philips have to scale up. They seem harder to do to me and make take a little while. So if i was Roche or whoever, stepping in to do my due diligence on a £300m purchase then it might take at least a few days or more. I would think they have to cut a deal with Philips too maybe. Having said that when i sold my company to a plc, it went through really quickly in 2 weeks as the chairman wanted to do it whilst he wasnt getting any interferance from CEO who was on holiday! So you never know, but the next 2 sales took weeks to accomplish not a weekend or two. So i have some sympathy both with the views expressed that say it is an amazing opportunity and some sympathy with your view that says, this might not be as quick as you think and there are some stumbling blocks. On balance i decided having run an analytics company and having had big pharma as major clients, that i might be able to help them get commercial people to see if i could help them cut the time to market or simply help due to lack of hours in a day for the key guys, not least as i have a son with a kidney transplant and a sister with diabetes. Whether anyone can help is another thing altogether. Fingers x.
