She sailed out of the BDD and out into the bay yesterday afternoon, did a few manouveres then after a few hours turned around and came back to the SRQ. You can see this on MarineTraffic by clicking on "past track" on the vessel info.

Yes, that could be a very good reason for the delay with No. 3, K.

I imagine that you do similar journeys over the Irish sea often and know how the weather can impact such a trip.

Not something I would have thought about, tbh.

The Lady Ellen is always changing its departure date and position but as far as I can tell it doesn't move from the far end of the SRQ. Not sure what's going on there. tbh.

On a similar note, the tug Venture is back in the BBD as I type, but note that it's and the CBB3's departure date has changed, yet again, to the 19th. Same with the Norbay. According to the Belfast-harbour website.

A one page website. Very impressive. As I said, aspirational. So far.

But don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the whole project.

It's going to be great for the whole area and hopefully for the yard as well.

Was chatting about it on Tuesday with some locals, more so about the yard, but there had been an issue with relocating the re-cycling lorries that are based there. As can be seen in the pic in LSE's first link. Bit of nimbyism, tbh.

This Tower Group has come up before, tbh. Seemed more aspirational with their aims, but we shall see.

We know the Best and Final Offer to the shortlisted shipyards for the Scillionian has been done and they are "expected" to announce their preferred shipyard by the end of July.

I noticed that the tug, Venture, has been in and out of the building dock last few days. I assume getting ready to finally take CBB3. What is that, about two weeks since K first spotted it. Any tickets left for that barge fest? :)

It's just a destination. At best, maybe some mooring fees for the use of the SRQ, during their brief visit.
