Relax folk. Fine will in all likelihood be proportionate and should cause an upwards move in SP. Meanwhile chill and have a beer if you can. Trading at this stage is risky IMO

Woody, my simplistic explanation is this....use shares borrowed and kept in reserve to start selling and set off the snowball downhill. Traders and the herd of PIs follow out of fear of disappearing profits or to limit losses. When price is right the shorters buy some back. Then rinse and repeat until they buy back enough to cover their shorts.
As the control this process, they can manipulate the market.
Many things can interfere with the above, so it's not risk free for them.
This is just my take on how it works and I've got zero financial qualifications so take this as opinion only.

Bought 50% of initial investment to keep my proportion same and was cheaper than buying via placement. It's still small fry so happy to risk it. In for a penny and all that..gla

I assume this was all pre agreed and the short window for investors was to tick a box on the regulations. There is a reason I avoid AIM. I got suckered in by the hype. Thankfully only a small about. Feel for lth's with large holdings. Hopefully the recovery will start after a further dip over the next 3 weeks.

Me too. Selling now seems a really daft idea. I said 12 months ago, once the economy gets going, oil will rebound. It has taken a bit longer than I anticipated, but its here. The optimism that green energy could be ready on time at scale was always a bit off the mark. Ho hum. I'm very happily loaded and not selling any. Would be rather daft to do so now. imo

Wow, one can always rely on panic by PIs. Couple of posters repeatedly posting the same negative message on different threads, and hey presto, 25% dip. Now just watch someone come and hoover up the shares. Madness but good luck everyone including captain Mannering!

Is this not a standard disclaimer that they have to put? Honestly, people need to relax. CA own a quater of the company and they are in the know. Follow the money...

A much bigger fine has already been priced in. A fine of that size will cause a spike in SP IMO

You have your reasons and strategy. But a rather a lot of you are protesting rather a lot trying to justify your reasons for selling. Why don't we just wait and see what transpires. Atb

JG68, I may be wrong here, but my view is this volatility may be manufactured by shorting firms precisely to provoke nervousness. The more nervous one is, the more likely they are to nab shares at lower rates.
Unless there is concrete news to dampen my enthusiasm, I'm holding on to my shares.
I haven’t got the ability to screen watch through the day so trading is too risky for me. Paddy played a blinder, but not everyone is as skilled or lucky. Atb

Exactly. Whilst all the wise people here are debating, the share price is inexorably rising. IMO just going back to true value now that we are seeing the tail of the pandemic.
