For the glass half empty lot, stressing Brent has 'dropped' to 83....my advice is get a grip and chill. BP will be raking it in and anything over 70 is brilliant. In fact, too high an oil price is a problem, just like too high taxes. Make oil at the pump too expensive and people will start moderating consumption.
I personally would prefer OP between 75 and 80. All IMO of course.

Cruis, also consider the collateral damage. Kids and their development, treatment for every other condition other than Covid, the destruction of the economy that pays for the NHS, etc etc. The list is very long. We all need to get a grip. There is no magic money tree....

Cruis, the NHS staff have done rather well from the Covid gravy train. Its no surprise they are crying foul. Every winter at this time there is a bed crisis. Time we moved on and accepted Covid is here to stay. We are at the stage of a bad flu year. So, do what we do in bad flu years. Get the jab, try and be sensible. Not stop humans from being humans. Yup, every quarter there is a divi. Dates are easy to find on the BP website. You need to be holding shares on the date specified at each announcement to qualify. Next one is due last week of Oct or early Nov I think. Divi's were reduced after the pandemic decimated the OP but as Brent is now higher than pre-pandemic and oil consumption is much higher now, one expects income levels are higher. The company had said lower Divi's were here to stay for a while to allow for share buybacks and investment in renewables, but given the abrupt increase in income, one hopes there will be a shift in policy and higher divi's will return. Feels to me, the EU and the UK are more likely than anyone else to pander to the green lobby. Both BP and Shell would be better moving operations to the US.

Throne, you are right and so is Peter. Many PIs have lost out due to 'credible' posters calling dips and fall backs in SP. At most stages between 280 and 320 when there was a pause, many were calling it the peak.
Even now, 400 max chat continues. Equally I admit people do speculate a higher rise, but the point Peter is making is correct. Atb
