Once and for all can we kill the myth that when this share price moves against your wishes it is M. In today's highly regulated world with digital footprints and KYC I think this is near impossible. Does this mean the sp will not move erratically on a day to day or intraday basis. Of course not. This is a relatively illiquid share and so a reasonably small block trade either way has a real impact on the market. Yesterday is a good example where the fall in to the close reflected a 3M share cross. In a low volume day professional day traders can influence the price one way or the other by putting their money where their mouth is. Is this M? I don't believe it is as they are supporting their view with their (or their clients) money. I have frequently heard the "big boys" blamed for M. Is it M if a large buyer or seller is in the market and their actions influence the market in the short term. Again I don't think so, its just supply and demand at work, the way it should work and I for one don't want anything different. I know its hard to look at yourself when things go wrong or not the way you expect in the short term but its too easy to blame M and near 100% of the time plain wrong. Best strategy is to have a clear view on value, watch the volume and be prepared to re-evaluate a new real information comes to light and ignore the waffle, leave that to the stock in trade of the day traders who need the waffle to create volatility.

i dont know what you are talking about, im looking at electronic book right now and there are offers right now all the way from 7.705 to 7.75 with 23 differing offers of stock. there is no such thing as A ASK price on any stock that I trade. similar story on the bid side. Anyway it is common for the last printed price to be above the top of the book offer in a falling market and the opposite in a bull phase of the market. That doesnt mean manipulation that's just the way the market works

market acting in totally predictable way......i still think it breaks 8 but needs a bit of a fresh run at it as its out of puff for now

You got to go back to 26/1/17 for High of last year of 8.01. The tougher the battle to break e8 the more likely it then becomes support. Its not manipulation that it is finding it hard to break 8, its normal. It feels to me like some are hedging their bets a bit on whether it will break it or not and so offloading a little. Thats the smart trade, not manipulation

Latest filings show only major sellers are Fidelity, Sun & HSBC but they have easily been taken out by Pacific, Dimensional, GCM, Capital, Rabo. Sellers 14M shares, those buyers 34m shares. Filings mostly Nov/Dec so as current as you are going to get. If it goes through 8 strongly, its going to 10 maybe a bit higher. Its not being manipulated it just has reflected fact the big moves wont move until they know what new CEO is thinking. So far she is winning more than she is losing.

Blackrock own 54M shares as of 13th Nov, FACT so no they are not short this stock. They are the 3rd largest shareholder.

There is no major short interest in this share they are not to blame for this share price under performance. The reason is much simpler. Every one of the top 20 shareholders, barring 3, have reduced their long positions over course of 2017. Those that increased it was small. The biggest sellers were Blackrock & Fidelity but they still remain the 2nd and 3rd largest shareholders. Between them they sold 3bn shares, I suspect to buy AIB. Birg is undervalued no question but against the amount of selling this share has seen it was only going one way. e6 is support though and we could see a rapid reversal to e8, its done it before!

Setting up nicely for GC, e7.5 ish and then e10. Needs to glide through the 7.5 when the brexit bears are on the beach in Greece or maybe bulls wait to see if new CEO will do a clear out. I doubt it, but might hold some back. Its always good when you are climbing the wall of worry!

0.226/0.22 is the number to watch> at some point the market will focus on different valuations. AIB now has annoyed a lot of investors so that sp going one way, will Bkir also rise to minimise the gap. The earnings difference in Ireland is circa e200M that should be a e2bn difference, not e5bn. There is a e3bn gap to be narrowed, it will be.
