AimMaster2018- VOD is simply moving with natural variation. Nothing concerning and there's also another £2bn of buybacks yet to land down the line because of the cash raised by VOD (see latest results).

CPI on the other hand, there's no growth... it's saw 8% revenue deline and is a shrinking business with more cutting still yet on the way.

AimMaster2018 just doesn't like it that I'm in profit here with VOD as I had a +ve view here. Also because they went & invested into CPI, yet it's gone southwards since (and I had a -ve view on their financials)

VOD's latest results were good, except for Germany, and I expect German market to stabilise soon and go on to recover (as ECB has cut rates significantly to offer support).

AimMaster2018 doesn't like that I've so far been proven correct 👍

UnluckyInvestor9 - the issue with a ceasefire is it relies on Russia to stick to the agreement which I'm sure they're bound to break. Any pause will likely be short-lived. Trump is a modern day Neville Chamberlain, content to appease the Russian Bear 🐻

Danielh - if you're losing sleep over 0.5% stamp duty then you'll be horrified to learn the financial costs of mortgage finance, loans finance, VAT, fuel duty, dividend tax & much more...

0.5% stamp duty on share purchasing has a negligible impact all things considered. Anyways.. no matter how much you whinge about it, it's a tax that's staying so I suggest you get over it 👍 - go complain to someone who cares.

Not sure where this 'bitter' narrative has originated from though I see some are copying as they lack the intellect to come up with their own and so follow like a sheep which they are...

Anyways great week for me, VOD is up nicely👍 - blue on my dash. Especially brilliant as others on here claimed I'd lose money investing in VOD & yet again I'm proving those persons wrong.

Many are the same ppl who said CPI would likely double/triple in value, and even possibly reach £1 a share... I explained why I didn't think that was possible and guess what?! I was proven correct about that too.

Look, at every turn folks on here have thrown abuse at me because they don't like that I dug into the CPI financials and shared what I found on here openly for all to challenge with evidence...

No one was able to share any strong evidence to counter my view and the results laid bare the terrible situation CPI is in.

And now there might even be a share consolidation (from some who posted on here) 🤷

Anyway, one things for sure... daltry is still a Donald Man and that's the thing about fascists; always in denial till the bitter end!

FWIW I agree with unluckyInvestor9 - with ISA's having annual maintainance fees that cuts into the investment profits... I too keep it simple with fund & share acct. Just my personal preference, and where I do pay some tax on CGT well that's only on profits anyhow so I don't begrudge HMRC sharing in the bounty👍

Danielh - If you're buying/selling or trading very small volumes of shares at time, which is inefficient, then yep... you'll accumulate many dealing charges and repeated stamp fees but... if you buy/sell and trade with larger volumes then it's really not an issue.

Again, if you're having sleepless nights over 0.5% stamp then you're either not cut out for dealing on the market or you are using an inefficient approach.

Stamp duty only 0.5% - if you're worried + having sleepless nights about that ha'penny fee then really you probably shouldn't be investing/trading at all!

Capitalizer - Also the case that it's costing CPI cash in H1 2025 in order to make those cost savings. They have to spend money this FY, to be able to save money in the future.
