For extra clarity - it's about the extra turbulence/uncertainty directly caused by consolidations which means some can lose out - because trading in the stock becomes more volatile & driven by emotion, than by logic & fundamentals during the time period of the consolidation. It can cause investors & traders to make rash decisions.

Hexam - Let me be very clear, I said the following:

"However, there are frequently losers through RI's, and there are also frequently losers through consolidations too."

I also pointed out potential for rounding impacts when ratios are used for the consolidations. I'm not claiming any LTH's would suffer big time, just that small discrepancies can occur.

However, at no point have I ever said that consolidations cause losses directly as a result of the consolidation itself. Any attempt to claim I made such a statement is just lies & misinformation.

Just because I have examined CPI's financials, and I have a 'Sell' view, I want to be clear that I don't have an agenda here - I'm not invested and I just simply follow this stock because I want to see what plays out in terms of 'does it align with my forecast or not?' and that's because it's interesting to me for building up my trading experience. I'm invested in other stocks mind you, so testing theories has application elsewhere.

I've always respected your in depth knowledge Hexam but counter to what nonsense some peddle on here it's simply not the case that everything is a conspiracy to deramp for financial gain. I cannot gain or lose with CPI because I am not invested and I'm not short (and neither is my wife).

Macy - If CPI does a consolidation then I'll come back on here post consolidation and ask you if you're better off or not.

You can then let me and everyone know the result of the test - Nothing can beat a real world test.

Markets getting broadsided by geopolitics and much economic fear, about western Gov budgets.

However, VOD SP has shown it's made of sturdy stuff through this choppy period of time so far - So does this mean once the turbulence simmers down then VOD might begin climbing?

After all- there's still lots more share buybacks to run yet, three merger commences soon and the low ECB interest rates should help stabilise German consumer markets too.

I've bought up quite a nice holding now - I will still be buying up some more yet mind (for the right SP) - I'm banking on VOD here being one that catches analysts out and performs far better than they currently anticipate 😎

You owned 10.4 slices - which becomes rounded down to 10 for the purposes of the consolidation excercise to take place, leading you with 5 slices post consolidation.

With consolidations + RI's there's frequently losers through the process. Hence why they're usually bad news for existing investors. Not always the case is post consolidation or RI there is then a healthy growth spurt... but lets be honest here, CPI is unlikely to experience such a growth spurt at anytime in the near future. Next results likely to show another revenue reduction (forecast made by latest results was for flat revenue, I reckon there's likely going to be a downwards revision at the next TU or with HY 2025 results).

Back on 19 Dec 2024 at 08:22 (in the Giving up the fight at 600p thread) I said this:

0% chance of a divi on CPI - with 1.69bn shares out there even a small divi would cost a fortune... and CPI doesn't have sufficient FCF for that kind of payout!

Just letting AimMaster2018 know that despite your attempts to slam VOD of late - I can happily report back that my many VOD tranches are in healthy profit 📈 - should there be a dip I'll be buying more though and I'll not be selling at the current prices either. Waiting for 85p+ at least! Star performer I am expecting it to be this year 🌟

Clue: the Capita One sale generated cash which pretty much covers that entire swing mentioned above! 😂😂

Without the Capita One sale then CPI would have been in major fiscal crisis.

Trisor - I genuinely do not know where to find the figure you're referring to - so if you have something positive, and you've the evidence for it then it's a little baffling why you would not the be willing to back up your comment with such hard evidence.

It's rather difficult to take your comment seriously, when you're unwilling to provide the evidence to back it up.

When I make comments sharing my views I've always consistently backed up what I've been saying with the evidence, frequently directly sourced from CPI themselves.

Trisor - Can you provide the previous loan rate? - Of course as well as loan rate the size of such loans is also relevant. Yes, paying over longer time periods can keep the repayments under control but... it can equally act to ramp up the total cost of debt financing as well.

Wednesday - Pls can you share the workings there?.. from your comment I can't quite work out how you're determining that.
