Stupmy - Great to see you again! - As you might know I've held this very view for a long while now, and have provided my explanations on here for all to see. Yes, I could never be sure of the precise timings, and of exactly what would be the trigger to breach the threshold. However, I've the gut instinct view that £5+ here on EZJ was far too high, given toxic combo of macro circs.

I've cash at the ready to buy too (as I sold out of stocks, including BT, back in November in anticipation of this) but... only if stocks I am watching hit the prices I perceive as being good value - next few months set to be nauseating for LTH's but there will be great value at moments too. gla

Trenners - thanks for providing the info, I'd not spotted that article - glad you used an official source for the info too. Too many times on here those ramping have used spurious sources to back up their dreams of CPI reaching £1 in the future.

Trenners - Where do you derive the figure of £210million for Capita One sale? - Everywhere in official CPI documents, results and news it states c.£180m and I cannot find £210mil quoted anywhere.

Also the summer results and Dec trading update were clear the cost cutting exercises were going to cost more cash into 2025 FY, estimate was £100mil (2x £50mil) so firstly a lot of FCF from Capita One sale looks to have been already earmarked for spending and what is more... that £100mil only covered until summer of 2025... there may be even more cash needed for further cost cutting beyond that yet.

So by my reckoning yes Capita One sale provided some FCF but... it really looks likely the whole lot (or a very large proportion at least) of that FCF generated will easily be spent over H2 2024 and into HY 2025.

Straight up - I do not own any of this stock. I'm just miffed I almost got burnt and drawn in. Fortunately I thoroughly examined the financials on this one!

DYOR - All IMO

CPI previously stated expectation is a high single digit % revenue decline... They lost the army recruitment contract which was previously lucrative... Yes AH sold off Capita One to keep the wheels turning but now LTH's own what is a smaller business. If there's an 8-9% revenue decline at the FY 2024 results tomorrow I just don't see how that helps the SP at all.

Robleo - I happen to think stocks like VOD will become seen, relatively speaking, as being safe haven equities. I will be buying if this gets pulled downwards. As everyone needs telecoms, it's as essential as bread, milk, energy + water.

Look daltry I know what with watching Gbeebies, Fox news, RT plus reading the daily heil it can be hard for you separating fiction from fact...

However, all market experts agree that short selling provides an essential service to stock markets - many examples of that being fact.

Just because you don't like it that shorters have pushed CPI into the ground it doesn't mean banning short selling would be good for the health of the whole market.
