Starres - you think GDR will now struggle right up to the end of the year and not generate sales until 2024 at the earliest?
we were told bu Budd that the financial deal with RF was put together after the NICE news was announced. Seeing as the news wasn't quite as earth shatteringly positive as we'd hoped ie 'Best practise' Budd will have known well before hand things stand sales wise in the UK (within the NHS) and also the numerous distributors abroad. Therefore I think it odd he wouldn't have gone all out for more money from RF. Why in two tranches too? My feeling, and that's all it is, is that there is a chance of getting good news from somewhere sooner than 2024 and with it a chance to opt out of the 2nd tranche of RF funding. Even managing to announce that wasn't going to be required would send good vibes to the market.
Budd will have known about the delays in having the stroke marker test reviewed by NICE and that a result of any kind is now not due until August. If he needs more money to get AIHL out there, and he clearly does, then why not just announce £5m in one go and try for better terms? I'm not upbeat about GDR just at the moment but I think you might be painting a blacker picture of how far off news might be. I think six months from March so by Aug or Sept at the latest. The sp can turn quickly on news or even just expectation so I don't think we're going to have to wait until 2024 myself.
Whether or not Budd will play ball and deliver something positive soon is anyone's guess though.
