Off the top of my head Starres I can only guess of course. My gut says GDR were confident AIHL would be approved and keen (desperate) to just get AIHL on the shelves as it were asap knowing how badly the Covid PoC sales programme had gone .They may have thought they would lose all credibility if there was nothing positive imminent to tell the market and share holders once the appalling sales figures had been reported - £50k income in six months vs a spend of several £million AND they had to announce they would be coming back to the market to ask for another cash raise.

An alternative viewpoint is that they may have had an inkling AIHL would NOT have received 'Best Practise' going down the Standard NICE guidance application and that might have been more damaging to confidence and future sales prospects.

What ever the reason we're now in a bit of a fix, especially as the NICE evaluation of the Sotrke Marker Test has been delayed. GDR never has any luck in these matters,

Not that they will…Just that they could.

I hope you're right big h but Riverfort are circling GDR right now and could, if they wanted to, bring GDR very quickly to its knees. Every time share holders are hopeful of something Budd has now put them in a position of being able to thwart any positive progress. I love the idea of a big pharma showing serious interest in buying GDR but think this deal by Budd has put the company in a far weaker position. Ironically i would have preferred the option of a traditional placing and making it open to all current share holders and taking the dilution without attracting the close and dubious interests of an outfit with Riverfort's reputation! Riverfort could take GDR for themselves and THEN sell it on to one of the big pharmas.

We need positive news flow right now and whenever GDR has needed that in the past Budd disappears for the length of time it takes to read a Bible. We barely heard from him for six months when GDR share holders were desperately wanting to hear of Covid PoC sales. Of course we now know there were almost none. If Budd remains quiet again what are we to assume...? I just wish Gilham had the balls to move him on and get someone younger and hungrier in the role. At the moment we pay (WE pay) his salary of £300k whilst he flounders about trying to work out if he has the ability to transform the company into a viably commercial organisation. Time will tell.

It just boils down to whether or not Riverfort think they can make more money out of GDR by helping it be a success or...by bringing it down.

Finally, before we head into the Easter w/e it's clear that there are a handful of posters have become ever present since a few weeks ago and have done nothing but run the company down. Again, just my view, but they are likely a group of traders working together to dent sentiment and question everything about GDR with the sole purpose of bringing the sp down. I filtered said posters about 2 weeks ago when it became obvious they are here to disrupt. Looking at the number of green boxes over the last day or so alone suggests these guys are going full tilt at GDR in an attempt to undermine other share holders. I've only got 3 detractors of GDR in the filter bin so between them they must have posted hundreds of messages yesterday alone. Why would they do that? I didn't like and certainly didn't trust what they were saying and so rather than help them monopolise the board with their negative messaging I simply filter them. That way I'm not tempted to respond or argue with them. It's boring to wade through the i-said-you-said tit for tat rubbish on the board and so life is easier to ignore it. I would recommend it to everyone.

7 more hospitals are lined up right now to adopt AIHL testing and will be up and running ie generating income for GDR with in the next couple of months, by which time there will doubtless be several more lined up to come on line in the weeks/months after that. By August or September I fully expect most of the major hospitals and trusts throughout the UK to have committed to adopting the tests. If GDR has an Achilles heel then it's the CEO and sales team whom to date have not enjoyed any meaningful success in the commercialisation of GDR products. Distribution deals are now being set up covering a number of huge markets - not yet the US however - and so only time will tell if these distributors can place contracts within hospitals abroad and begin contributing to income.

Frustrating that the Stroke Marker test assessment by NICE has been delayed but that's all it is, a delay. nothing to suggest it isn't going to be as successful as AIHL in gaining NICE recommendation, if anything it should be more so. Really interesting and helpful posts form Bapuk yesterday. Well worth reading for every serious investor here rather than just day trading.

The next positive news we can hope for and could come very soon is funding from the DEVOTE programme. If this is anything like a couple of million quid then things start to look rosier much sooner for GDR. Without that though I fear our sp is going to struggle and we've now got a shark in Riverfort circling GDR looking to make money out of it as quickly as it can and in any way it can. The biggest danger imho is they decide to run it into the ground to the point where they want to take it over for peanuts. This could easily happen now thanks to Budd, unless the good news starts to flow soon, but his track record in this department is truly abysmal.

That said, I personally believe GDR could turn a corner at any moment and finally say goodbye to the seemingly endless scenario of waiting for the next bit of news to get us closer to becoming a commercial entity. It's taken years but we're very nearly there. potential markets for AIHL and the Stroke Marker test are huge and even if we managed 50% sales in 50% of the territories we hope to be active in then GDR sp will be many multiples of where it is now.

At this rate we could be 20p by the end of next week.

Sentiment has been all but crushed here by Budd's deal and we're not far off 40% down in just nine days of trading. Way to go David.

When can Roverfort begin selling their shares?

I have absolutely no doubt they will know more than us pis in what's likely to happen with news and a good idea fo when and will not for one second fret about selling their 6.5m shares well below 32p knowing full well how badly GDR's sp has performed in the past. Why not do exactly what some on here are posting about daily: sell your shares over a period of time and simply buy back in when the sp has tanked. All the more profit for riverfort.

Could they also have simply placed their 6.5m shares on a short? Sit, do nothing, watch the sp go back to the teens then go long when they are confident news is about to be announced?

Am clutching at straws here but not for the first time. As always I reiterate I think the products will win the day but until the sales are forthcoming the CEO will do nothing but harm the sp and sentiment. Hope those who were congratulating Budd last week are feeling good now?

Patience and be prepared for a bumpy ride. Possibly no news until August? I'm going to have to switch off and just not look in or else I'll be tempted to jump ship as well.

Any takeover would have to be approved by share holders. Not sure who the big holders are in GDR but I'd be surprised if they would let it go for 50p - 60p per share. Not given the potential income. And that's the point I guess. Whilst Budd is at the helm that's all it will be...potential. If the sp somehow got back to 40p and we received an offer of £1 per share I think many of the pis would bite your hand off. Afraid I would even though I think with a potential income of £200m + per annum this should go for rather more than that. Gilham has a history of building companies up and then getting them sold for deals around the $200m - $300m mark. This is the reason I am holding here and, believe it or not, even adding when I have the chance.

Bid back down to 26p on HL. Misery being compounded here for lths.

It would be great if a decision is made before we are back in the teens - assuming GDR receives something.

C'mon Gilham. Do your thing and ffs move Budd to one side and get someone more dynamic in the CEO role. Someone with some charisma, serious sales experience AND some connections in the pharma industry.

The Development and Validation of Technology for Time Critical Genomic Testing (DEVOTE) programme will be led by The University of Manchester.

We have to hope Manchester University see fit to designate some of the Award to GDR. Absolutely no idea if that might be £2m or £3m or £100k. Let's hope it's not based on sales to date or we'll be lucky to get fifty quid!

Nothing new and I'm afraid i didn't read that and think ooh they're excited about MFC. It states it's one of their 'exciting projects' which is hardly cause for celebration.

JLC - news announcing GDR will receive some funding from the new Devote Programme would go a long way to restoring sentiment for GDR.

Lloyd - that's disappointing to read those Linkedin employee statements. Not ideal but the quality of the company products will hopefully be the saviour for GDR. We already know Budd is pretty hopeless in many areas of his job. How on earth he gets paid as much as he does is a mystery, honestly.

don't know the answer to that Lloyd 88but Brighty did post a list (see below) of acquisitions in this sector. Whether or not any of the companies bought was an AIM listed one I just don't know.

I would take £1 and run as fast and as far away from Budd as I possibly could. £1 would get me a fab mobility scooter with a bit of extra kick. 20mph? which is about 19mph faster than I can run :)

That's the wonder of David Budd for you Nissan. He's quite a guy. Sitting pretty on £300k pa and perfectly happy to ask share holders to risk everything by sticking around for years more whilst he learns how to sell some GDR products.

Nothing left of my finger nails with this one. I too thought this week was going to give us the boost we've all been hoping for but it's an AIM stock and the pro investment market doesn't trust these small companies chancing their arm. they just see it as a playground to take money off amateur pis

Finally lost patience with this stock. Sold out this week with a loss of over £7k. Peter Wall was a conman and I fell for it. Lucky it wasn't more.

tks myIPA. Much appreciated. I'll never get my head round all of the ins/outs of such deals but on the face of it it doesn't look too bad. Not great but not as bad as many one sees on AIM. I'm always sceptical of these deals and the more complex they are the more suspicious I am.

I am already heavily in here but if it does drop back down I will be cashing in other stocks and putting it here but...only if we hear from Budd soon. He simply cannot bury his head in the sand for another 3 months then ask share holders to take the risk of exposing their investment significantly further to Riverfort. He MUST provide proof that GDR's Achilles heel - the ability to sell anything - is finally improved and gaining in strength.

What do you think of the 40% warrants the Investor will be awarded of the initial sum of £2m? It worries me and suggests effectively we are paying for this loan at an interest rate of 40% but I'm probably misunderstanding it.

MMs now starting to warm up with their games. Nearly 10x as many shares bought today as sold but...you guessed it, we're only 2% up. Spread getting wider to put off any buying.

Depending on what 'positive news flow' we've had from Budd by the time he asks share holders to approve the second tranche of funding from Riverfort I will sit on the fence on whether or not I'll vote for/against it. Budd needs to do more than write one post on this bb to gain support and trust. If there's no proof of progress on sales, FDA and the Stroke Marker Test then I definitely won't be voting in favour of awarding riverfort another 3.5m+ warrants.

i wish you could be right System but as was announced by GDR themselves the next 7 NHS hospitals will only be up and running with in the next few months and FDA is miles off. EU sales will only start to trickle in and even the registrations with some of the Distribution Companies GDR has agreements in place with need to gain regulatory approvals so they too may take several months before actually selling anything. Some countries I hope are already able to purchase the AIHL tests. I fear meaningful sales are a way off and until they do land we can expect a rough ride as far as the sp goes. MMs will have their fun and Riverfort will not be idle in taking advantage of any situation that arises.

This is going to be an extremely difficult one to hold for the foreseeable unless Budd can give the market some good news. A Grant would be most welcome and take the pressure off for example. Stroke Marker Test news too. I honestly never thought I'd be saying this but I fear we're heading back towards 20p as I just don't think Budd can do anything to stop the rot just now. Some serious courage is needed for the next few months.
