RE: Thoughts for the next 2 weeks!20 Mar 2023 09:06
MIKODX - I'm sorry but you've misunderstood and..are still convinced AIHL needs more testing in order to be brought to market. You say 'New tests like this has to be analysed over and over again before being brought to market'.
AIHL can already be bought and is already in the market. It does NOT NEED any further testing or analysis in order to be bought other than in the US where it requires FDA approval. AIHL can be bought in the UK and EU countries and many others around the world. The requisite testing in order for AIHL to be sold has already been carried out. NICE full recommendation as 'best practise' means most NHS Trusts will buy it soon. In the RNS it states
This is NOT to say there won't be further testing and analysis. From the RNS - 'We are also intending to work with NICE on ongoing data collection to support the long term recommendations for the product'. That is data collection. not further testing or analysis of the Test itself. Just data collection of its impact within the Health Service. My point, which you failed to understand, is that it isn't the case, as you state, that AIHL Test itself needs more testing/analysis 'before being brought to market'. It doesn't.
Anyway, disappointingly it appears much of the good news is now priced in as I would have expected, even though it's only a small roll out within the NHS, more of an uptick in the sp. More excitingly though it sounds as if we won't have to wait long for news of other Trusts adopting AIHL as the RNS states 'near-term roll outs such as this one in Greater Manchester...'.
The roll out in Manchester means 30,000 babies will have access to the test as and when required. The income is going to start rolling into GDR coffers by the end of April/May. Slowly but surely this GDR train is starting to pull out of the station. Hopefully GDR will RNS any news of AIHL being purchased in other countries. That will help get the sp over the 50p barrier for sure.
