RE: DDay approachingToday 13:53
Do some research jeez! It’s not a ‘case against MPL’ it’s a check on if anything improper has occurred during the CoC’s decision to approve the Resolution Plan from the Adani Group or in discounting MPL’s own Plan, which offered to pay all creditors in full. They waited too long and should have paid their debts off sooner. It’s only now that the Adani Group want the asset that MPL, backed by a major O&G co, have decided they really want it after all. Question is really why didn’t they just get on and pay all these debts when it was first requested? If they wanted to keep a hold of the asset so badly why even risk getting themselves into this current situation. There’s a very slim chance the ruling will find in MPL’s favour but they then have to go back to Adani and reverse their approval and that ain’t gonna go down well. Adani Group has limitless funds to fight any legal battle vs MPL. David and Goliath springs to mind. I think they will end up With nothing and then their appointment of Marty will look rather foolish. He’s not going to be the knight in shining armour I’m afraid.
IMHO most likely scenario is Court Hearing goes ahead and that’s the end of it. MPL won’t have a leg - or funds - to stand on and take the fight further. Shouldn’t have ever got to this situation.
