SP is higher now than before exdiv, I'm not selling but it's always good to be looking at a profit

Hi Dan, you know the score here mate, this could get a lot better or it could be still trading in the same range in another years time, the reality is nobody knows, so everyone one should do what they feel is right for themselves and don't blame anyone else if they get it wrong

regardless of what some have said about a good dividend it depends on what you are comparing it with, the likes of legal & general m&g etc. have a yield around 9% and arguably more chance of capital appreciation, but we all have our own opinions on that

personally I'm still hoping this has a bit more to give

Unlucky your not alone, when you buy a share that goes up and down each year, you have a good chance of buying at the bottom and selling at the top whilst collecting dividends in between, but when your stuck in a share that just goes down year after year and never comes back to what you originally bought them for, your in trouble

Same here Monty 14% down not including dividends, it turned out to be a big disappointment this one, will keep collecting dividends until I'm back in profit then dump it

Never mind the Math's, just take a look at the Graphs ? just hoping we are at the bottom of the ski slope, and taking a journey up on the cable car

Crossley, Aviva have done exceptionally well over that period, I bought mine in the 3.80s and still holding, lgen is by far my largest share holding and phoenix is one i sold off for a profit, but with hindsight i should have held on to them, i will see what happens over the summer month's, i find it's usually the best time for buying or adding

mng has been a good income provider and hopefully that will continue

MD, I guess I'm getting more cautious in my old age, I have my money spread over several dividend shares and international funds, some have been rewarding investments, but i have also picked up a few dogs on my journey, i agree with nickname, had i invested all of my money in m&g over the last 5 years i would be a lot richer for it

Difficult decision with this one guys, it's been an excellent investment so far, have held for a long time and now 50% in profit, my dilemma is will the merger improve or reduce the current share price, and if i sell i will probably never be able to rebuy as low as i did before

I'm not selling, but it's good to be showing a profit in addition to the great dividends on offer here, glad i bought additional shares when the sp was low, makes me feel like I've done something right for a change
