Prepare for the worst and hope for the best, i did a bit of impulse buying on Friday, rebought m&g shares and topped up on my legal & general shares, thinking about it now maybe i should have waited a while until things settle if they ever do, we could get a bit of a bounce back on Monday or it could get very bad, just going to sit tight and try not to make any more daft decisions

Hello Tambo210, yes i was aware payment day is not until May, but thanks for pointing it out, May is not far away though, for those are entitled to it, I'm not in any hurry to buyback, most of my shares seem to take a nose dive in the summer months lgen included, and with the trade wars etc. I'm quite happy to be holding cash until i get the right buyback prices I'm looking for , I usually buy and hold long term, but this year I'm hoping to lower my averages on a few of my shares, I'm fully aware it might not work out the way I'm hoping for though, and everyone should do what they feel is right for themselves

LTI, always???, back to what Dan was saying, if they buyback shares, then after the share buyback has finished, the share price has dropped by 50p and still dropping, then there has been no benefit has there ?

It doesn't take a genius to work that out, but let's hope this time around it actually works in our favour

LTI, when the buybacks are finished next year, and if we are in the same situation, that is the dividend is still half of what it used to be and the share price is still 72p then we have a problem, of course the share price has to rise above what they paid for them for us to benefit, it's quite simple
