Hello Tambo, a profit is a profit so well done, these are very troubled times at the moment and i still feel this has further to drop and I'm not in any hurry, and of course any further drops in the short term will also be an advantage for those who have held and wish to add more at a lower price, just like i did last year, but hey without possession of a good crystal it's all a bit of a gamble

I'm also undecided what to do with my lgen shares and also looking to rebuy phoenix if they drop down below £5

I don't know what the situation will be in 6 months from now, but the last month or so my US funds have been dropping at a much faster rate than my UK shares, but you decide for yourself, how it's going to play out, it's not just the UK that's got problems

Hi Gold and Tambo, yes we did chat about it and i held on and added last year, I was a bit disappointed that the pre xdiv sp was quite a bit lower this year than last year so decided to take the dividend and profit earlier and try and lower my average here, we all know it's a bit of a gamble sometimes it's works well in your favour sometimes not, the last few years though the old saying of sell in may and walk away would have paid off, quite a few of my shares were well down in the red during the summer months, but always expect the unexpected in this game

Cheap, that's very true, but for sure you need to be buying or adding to them at the bottom of their range, below £2 with mng around 2.20 with lgen etc. I will buy back here when the price is right

1.90 by mid April would be my guess, that's around the time it finished dropping last year, the question is how well will it recover afterwards

MD, no worries, I've held mng for several years, very good dividend, it doesn't look like the sp will get to a new high this year, so i will probably continue to hold and add more after xdiv

Market-Dealer, what drivel is that then?, this share has dropped a lot more than the dividend for the last 3 years, that doesn't mean it will definitely do the same this year, but of course there's a strong possibility that it might, but good luck

Jatw, this is currently trading in mid range, so why buy mid range, when you know there's a good chance you will loose it all and more after xdiv, and as with all of my dividend shares it's always good to know there's been no loss in capital each year

Personally i haven't decided yet whether i will sell on Wednesday or hold and add more after the drop

If you can get a good dividend yield with no loss of capital your onto a winner, Aviva has been doing exceptionally well over the last few years with a good dividend and also capital appreciation
