Savage, I would hold on to your money if i was you, there will be plenty of bargains about after Trump has crashed out all the market's, I'm surprised this one is holding up so well, the only problem is it just can't get passed 70p and the dividend is no better than you can get from a bank account

I think we can forget about beating last years share price of £2.40 due to Trump bringing the market's down, but let's hope the results will not be disappointing, if the dividend remains uncut i will be happy and reinvest the dividends

It seems the American market's are getting hit harder than the UK at the moment, glad i have a lot of UK shares paying out dividends March/April, Savage i hope you are right about Vod, we will see

Definitely no complaints from me, I wish all my other shares were as good as this one, capital gain plus good dividend, it's rare to get both from a dividend share

Hi Gary, yes you are right mate, i have no problem with holding onto this one and reinvesting the generous dividend, it's a good feeling seeing it in profit around dividend time though, but i do have a few other shares i wouldn't mind selling off though if they were to rise high enough before exdiv, and buy back at a later time, if they dropped below my current break even price, otherwise it will be hold for the dividends, fingers crossed that we have a better March/April

It's not just m&g though is it, lgen/phnx/aviva just to name a few are all disappointing at the moment, too much sh*t going on in the World, was hoping to sell a few of my shares off if they hit a good price before exdiv, but doesn't look like there's much chance of that, so will enjoy collecting the dividends instead

Looks like guttersnipe has been spending his pocket money on Vodafone shares again

Good Morning soton, it's always difficult knowing where and when to invest to get the best return, I've been making a note of the break even prices on all of my shares, and intend selling some of them off providing they reach my target price before they go exdiv and holding the money in cash for a while, i will only buy the same shares back if they drop quite a bit below my previous break even price, and i have a feeling there will be plenty of opportunity's to do so with this Government's policy's, but either way I'm sure there will be buying opportunity 'some time this year

I will probably donate my Vodafone shares to my Grand children, maybe they will make a profit on them in their lifetime lol, always a good laugh on that bb though :-)

Looks like this dog is heading for the pound shop, I should have known better, the UK in UKW should have been enough to put me off, this Government is only interested in sending our money overseas, we need someone with a UK first attitude

Unlucky, sold my lloyds shares for a nice profit @67.40 yesterday, so I wouldn't be surprised if they keep rising now, but I'm happy with the profit, let's hope Vodafone can follow the same trend

Dan, what goes down must go up, or have i got it the wrong way around ? seriously though I'm sure it will go up eventually, but what we don't know is by how much and how long it will take, i couldn't resist taking the mickey out of savage though , it was only about a week ago i was telling you how well everything was doing, and ever since all of my UK shares plus US funds have been dropping every day, so it's not just Vodafone that's suffering, let's hope some good news comes out for a change of direction
