Nelly, as md said on a previous post, i see this as a good retirement income with hopefully not much risk to capital

I sold @ 118.4 and bought for 189 but also bought back an extra 50% to what i was holding before

the plan is to hold long term for topping up my state pension along with a few other good dividend shares, 10% yield is excellent IMO as long as it keeps coming and i don't see any reason why it will change

It doesn't matter what any of us on here think, the markets are clearly disappointed in it, just as i thought it was going well down we go, let's hope the coming months show a decent rise

Hi Dan, the US markets have had an excellent 5 years, but it's been realised the last few months that they are over valued and dropping at a faster rate than the UK, not helped by Trumps tariff's, ok they might outperform us again over the next 5 years as Mole suggested, but it's what's happening now that I'm interested in, just making a point to mole that it's not just the UK and Germany having problems

I think everyone realises that gutter is a few penny's short of a shilling

Some things never change, we still can't reach that 80p, despite all the ramping we had from Billy savage

Mole, it's the best US company's, the big 7 that are being hit the most, right now I'm happier to collect dividends from the likes of UK dividend payers such as lgen,mng,aviva at least until the US market's show some sighn of recovery

As for Vodafone, most of us know it's a dog share but still hoping it can improve from it's current undervalued sp

Yes there's been several take over rumours with this one that's bumped up the share price, so good all rounder I.M.O. just need to try and lower my average with lgen now

My guess is we will probably see 2.20 before we see 3.00 this is a cyclical share, but that doesn't matter as long as it comes back good again so there's no loss of capital, enjoy the dividends in between the ranges

Sam, this has been one of the best shares for dividend income, and providing you buy for £2 or less you will probably get some capital appreciation as well, all in my opinion of course, but anything can happy in this unpredictable World

An interest cut would be a good tonic for my UK shares especially house builders, let's hope we get a cut in May

I sold off some of my US tech funds, have more confidence in the UK value shares like mng, recovering nicely after the xdiv

This share made a high of 2.55 last April, if it only hits 2.50 this year, that 5p you can deduct from the dividend payments, not sure if anyone else thinks of it that way

It's the 5th month we need to worry about, we'd better hope the results are good

Good morning Tambo, I sold off around 30% of my shares last year for just over 2,50 and bought back around 224 later in June so it worked out ok on that occasion, i haven't decided yet if i will do something similar this time, we all know it's a bit of a gamble which ever way we play it as events can change everything, either way I've been selling up some of my US tech funds lately and intend increasing my holding here sometime after xdiv, i wish you the very best of luck and hope it works out well
