Expect volatility in a rapidly rising share price. Novacyt is a rapidly growing biotech business which appears to be very well managed, it has a huge order book and is making big profits. Buy or hold and let the story unfold...

GW pharma fell by 38% in the morning on good news. I sold my shares thinking something must be wrong. By the end of the day it was up 20% and went on to soar much higher in the following days. Eventually it went off AIM and is now listed on Nasdaq. Manipulation!!

It has been a while since we have had an update on sales and production so I expect a bumper update at some point, that coupled with increasing numbers of covid cases and more testing may well push the price higher. What if the French or Germans put in a big order? So a pull back or a leap higher?? Based on market cap, order book and profits Novacyt is still cheap. We will comfortably beat Boohoo's miserly £90m profit and their market cap is four times higher than NYCT's. Average pe ratio for biotech stocks is 58, NYC's could be 2, way undervalued? Demand for testing could wane next year, but it could go on for several years...

I drove past a covid testing centre near York today and was quite gobsmacked at the scale of the testing going on, never having been for a test myself. An entire park and ride site taken over. Loads of cars queued waiting, scores of marshalls in high viz jackets, tents, temporary buildings. Never seen anything like it. Replicated across the UK this must be costing a fortune, testing is now big business.

France isn't looking good... pfft. The price action is quite normal - just profit taking after a big rise. Needs to consolidate, charts looking good...

Perfect bolt on acquisition at a very reasonable price given that it is a business already generating a good level of profits with a high margin.

The price action is healthy. It needs to consolidate before it can go higher.

I would not invest in AIM shares just because they are exempt from IHT. That IHT exemption can be removed at anytime, it only benefits a small number of wealthy people, and the government are going to have to recover the £2 trillion spent on covid so all these tax perks are going to be under review and will probably go.

I gave exactly the same advice yesterday to someone who top sliced. I was invested in GW Pharma when that soared, and sold out too early. Let your winners run!! I see the desire to bank profits, but this looks like rerating to me based on rising demand, huge order book, no debts, launch of several new products. Based on order book, pe ratio and ebitda, the share price is cheap for a biotech stock. How much further has this run to go???? I think market cap will end up £1bn plus.

Article headed "Novacyt still looks really cheap despite share price rally" says govt contract should see major uplift in earnings and previous guidance may be very conservative. Says year end is only 3 months away and based on ebitda and pe ratio stock looks undervalued. It says no earnings estimates and lack of broker coverage hamper valuation, say demand for covid testing will not last forever, it is a stock for the short term unless it can diversify into new markets - but Novacyt are planning for this and have a strategy. They say the sales Novacyt are generating justify the market excitement and " it is in a sweet spot and investors should get on board now".

Two pieces of advice. (1) If it is raining gold sovereigns, put all your buckets out. (2) LET YOUR WINNERS RUN. This has much further to go, No debts, massive order book, high profit margin, not many shares in circulation, way undervalued based on p/e ratio.

Biotech stocks usually have extremely high pe ratios, Novacyt's is ridiculously low which is a result of the extremely unusual high demand market it operates in which may be relatively shortlived 12- 24 months. £13 would still be a low valuation....

With no debt, high margins and a massive cash pile to spend on growing the business there is no reason why Novacyt won't be able to be able to run a profitable little outfit post covid. They have scaled up production mazsively and launched multiple products. Looks like good management.

Short of shares, which means this is headed much higher.

Until it is drilled out it would be unwise to assume there are no higher grades at depth. Usually higher grades are found at depth, gold being a heavy element. The other targets also all need testing. Remember Telfer itself is one of the largest gold deposits in Aus, Havieron is looking like tier 1 too. Could be part of a district. Forthcoming drill results will be interesting.

There is no vaccine, only hope. The only reason vaccine was mentioned by Whitty is that he was trying to put some positive spin on things. The head of the US CDC said only last week the earliest a vaccine will be widely available is the end of 2021.

Volume is excellent.

Captainstanley it is all about sentiment now. If I were short on this, I would close my position and go long. Can't you see the dust cloud it the distance and the rumble of pounding hooves? A herd of bulls is headed in our direction. Hold on to your golden tickets.

Right now, with the prospect of a second wave I reckon any covid related stock is set to soar regardless of whether they are selling products now or expect to have a miracle cure by 2050. If you started a rumour that sucking polo mints stops you getting covid they would sell out. Everyone is getting a little panicky.
