Follow the money... Things get leaky, the market knows before you or I. Drill cores now are tested by xrf before being sent to a lab. They will have an idea if they are seeing bonanza grades over lengthy intersections.

Looking at the scramble to buy here anyone would have thought a major discovery had been made...

Revenue for the full year must be much higher than £190m. They had £63m for H1 but 91% of that was in the second quarter and the last monthly turnover figure given was £25 million for June. Another 6 months at £25m would give a minimum turnover of £203m. During that time production has been increasing and headcount risen sharply, very large order from NHS plus, several new products to market plus distribution network expanding and demand rising. The only constraint I can see would be manufacturing capacity but in the large NHS contract RNS novacyt said they had capacity to fulfil other orders.

Even if you take the most conservative forecast for revenue, Novacyt has a very high profit margin and will have made huge profits. So what they going to do with their cash pile? Debts have been cleared, they made one small key acquisition but that will still leave way more in the bank than Novacyt could ever need for capital or research and development. Perhaps more acquisitions or a dividend or share buyback?

Covid cases may well decline next year as vaccines are rolled out. However, imagine what will happen in winter 2021 and 2022. Covid will probably still be about but at much lower levels. But how do you distinguish colds and flu from covid without testing? Nearly everyone catches cold or flu at some point in winter. Demand for testing may continue longer than we imagine. Also, according to government figures, the fastest growth in testing is pillar 2, that is commercial testing bodies - the market for testing still seems to be growing rapidly.

The government's press conferences are totally choreographed. The reporters are pre selected and no one dares give the politicians a hard time. The questions from members of the public is a sham, all the questions are preselected and screened. Without an independent press and unless government is prepared to allow criticism and respond to it, nothing will get better. Our political system is broken.

This almost certainly means some tests are not picking it up!!!

The dutch have just closed off flights from the UK due to the new strain of covid and among the reasons cited they say the new strain is more difficult to detect. So are we to assume some tests cannot detect it? But we know Novacyt's does!!

That could be big news for Novacyt if some of the other tests fail to detect the new strain. It would be a massive headache for government and call for a rethink on the types of tests used, plus much more surveillance would be required in case of further mutations.

I do not believe in conspiracy theories, but I don't trust politicians either. If it is a mutation that poses a threat to the effectiveness of a vaccine it is already too late to stop it spreading, they will need a new vaccine and we will have to learn to live with covid for quite some time.

Call me cynical but you don't put up that kind of money unless you know where things are headed. Follow the money....

There is now nothing to hold the share price back, it has broken through resistance into virgin territory. If everyone is in profit everyone is happy. And who would want to sell with Scallywag drill results due to drop any moment?

The share price could bounce hard at anytime. Just look at SNG today. Covid doesn't seem to be about to suddenly disappear.

I have no position in Hur nor do I intend to take one. I had been watching the share price as a recovery play on oil. I would be very cautious here. On the one hand I can recall Taylor Wimpey fell to about 4p on fears it would go bankrupt. It didn't and you would have made a fortune had you bought at those levels. But there are plenty of indebted companies which have disappeared - Sirius Minerals, Interserve, Carillion. Take great care here, you could lose everything if this goes under.

Looks like a business opportunity to me. The smart thing to do would be for the government to issue bank notes in much larger denominations to aid investors who wish to stash their cash here. I'd like to see a Charles and Camilla £1 million note. Banking for drug barons, criminals, dictators and Russian oligarchs could be a profitable little side line post Brexit.

Haven't you noticed all the buys? There are players in this Game with more knowledge than you or I. They are aggresively buying. Hold on to you golden tickets.

I vaguely recall having a discussion sometime ago with a financial advisor about lifetime allowances and he was saying something about expat pensions and transferring very large pension pots out of the Uk to the Isle of Man where there is no lifetime limit but the fees are expensive.

Market cap bloated!! Really?? BUT the processing mine and all the infrastructure is already built at Telfer. The orebody is very high grade which means it will be a money spinner from day 1 and Newcrest are funding futher exploration. Plus it is in Australia. As far as mining plays go, you won't get better.
