Markets up due to the EU tarif hold thats all. back to where we were Friday before EU tarif threat.

Just an over all ftse lift day

rr is 1.35% up

but my IAG is 2.05% up today.

but the FTSE is dropping and as always we get Friday sell off end of day so I don;t think we will hold at £8.51 by close.

I might be older than you and not after growth on lgen.

my ave is £2.26 so if I need to sell out I can at a profit, but at 2.26 my div is 10% ish.

So I can keep 4% in to cover inflation PA and take 6% out to fund living.

I get about £27k in divs over all so it helps in the bad times to get an income without having to sell any dips.

Forcast is £4.10 by Feb 2026 why sell a rising share ?

there is an ex-div date when the SP drops the same as the div, we did not notice as the % is tiny.

there is a pay date when the SP normally does go up a bit due to automatic reinvesting driving the price up.

But again at 0.7% it's not worth getting excited about. we are here for growth at 700% not 0.7% !!!

If you want divs as income buy Lgen. I get just under £12k divs from them TAX free.

nothing !! they go up on div pay out day due to all the auto reinvestment, but at 0.7% I am hardly running to the bank with it lol

NOW when my lgen divs arrive I'll be a very happy boy.

Prawncurry that was my worry, ie too top heavy on RR

I guess I have lost on paper about 115k not keeping all my in RR stocks but I don't like being that top heavy at all. I sold alot at 100% up as I normally do.

in real money that £115k is maybe £70k after reinvesting.

I have been here a while, I did say in 2001 "shall I put my full pot on RR lol in hind site yes I would have 4million + !!

I am always selling RR stock, sold again at 802, sold another 2.5% of my pot at 8.10 I need to stop selling RR ! but it's nice to take real profit.

I am at a point to be 100% happy with a 8% pot return PA these days, I draw 5.5% , so been moving stocks about and releasing more cash as the tariff did show how bad things drop fast and you cannot get out, that's made me have 2 years cash now as back up in Atom bank at 4.75%

SMR dates are a slight worry as is RR future growth rate, IAG seems to me on paper even from today prices faster to make 25% than RR will do.

Agree only an a blind person would not hold IAG :-) , it's classic recovery stocks which are very hard to find atm.

And as I said now rising faster than RR and imo will keep doing so short term.

I am 106% up with them and it's been my best stock the last 12 months.

Some people are a bit sour grapes and make it personal, esp when he said "no one cares about you" lol I don't expect any one on here to care about me.

But it's good to see what other invest in imho.

jimbo i look at 1 year charts to see what going to make me more money, 1year iag is out classing rr now days

yes rr was great early doors i am 650% up and it still my biggest holding, but now have £200k of iag and 105% up. on those also.

no one ramping a share, that's inpossible. just stating a fact of which i said this 12 months ago what will make me 100% faster.

IAG was still better today.

IAG still winning 12months vs 12 months % rise , and 2.5x the div.

Just saying :-) def my best share the last 12 months.

RR is slowing down while IAG is speeding up it seems.

I'll prob draw it out and put it in Atom bank @ 4.75% get some interest on my interest.

I actually sold some by mistake was on the phone thought I was in another account and sold 2.5% of my holding.

On the plus side I got £810.35

On the down side I did not mean to press sell in this account.

may as well spend it on something now as CGT free on a 645% profit which is nice.
