Quote : " I recently cashed in our SIPPs "
why did you do this ? and how old are you atm ? seems a daft move to me !
I have a sipp and it's been great the gov give me free money :-0 , I retire this year and my sipp will pay me £12570 TAX free from the age of 55 to 67 when it maybe will run out, I think it has more in it than that so a bonus.
I'll never pay any TAX getting the money out of it so all the gov money was free !
I also don;t get holding 80 odd shares, if the market crashes it crashes all shares and then looking after 80 is hard work, as long as you are not in aim shares and there is no BIG crash's why hold loads of companies ? I hold 6 as an example all in the FTSE 100. I made 34.1 % last TAX year even with the crash was up at 41% , and holding 15% in lgen give me a big boost in income and inflation proof.
you state compound growth and " can be assured of a 12% compound growth " nothing is assured really.
SnP 500 won't make 12% in 2025 imho. atm it's May the snp 500 is 7% down ! so you now need 19% growth by Dec !
be lucky to hit 6000 this year again. so 1% growth in 2025. and do you see it being 6720 by end 2026 ! I don't , even then that would be 6.5% over the next 2 years ! the worlds a different place not sure we will see 12% PA growths these days.
Too much debt and only getting worse.
I think your 12+ % is more like 10% on the snp500 the last 10 year also.
Lucky I am not after big growth at 55 years old, I am after stable shares and also divs. and I hold at least 3 years wages in CASH in case of market dips 5 years if I need to sell other assets worse case, or money I use to buy in and sell out for a quick 10/20% proffit.
you also then say "STRATEGY is the key" but have raided savings 3 times already ! you need a rethink :-)
def don't do monthly buy orders ! why do so many people do this !
I sold some lgen at £2.52 will wait for a dip to buy back in. why do monthly buy orders ?, is this the new internet thing !
seems lots of you tube channels do this now, and it's a fail imo. So many dips these days buy the dips and due to AI now buying and selling the dips are bigger than past years, but recovery is also faster.
