Danred nope i am not, just interested to hear Dan90 views as in Q&A they also made a big thing about it and margin poss being an issues, having absorbed all of this i think long term its going to be a smart move, BH was too narrow and niche for real proper growth , this has just given them a whole ton of options and avenues , for them i now think this is a much better option than TS/TM purchase and i never thought id be saying that.

Splice in its hey day quite young , tgey went after Topman but nowdays id say 30 upwards. This deffo give BH a whole new demo. Existing BH demo wont even be aware , london brands are great fit for Debs online offer , in effect 100000% better than current debs offer. They have been in administration twice in last year and liquidated beginning Dec so cant see being any liabilitys at all. This one bit sweet sour for me, i can see very bright lights at end of tunnel but its pretty long and def going require some digging ! Im sure theres some left Slipperz but many people i know were made redundant from Red Herring , jasper conran, maine , mantray , jeff banks on mens and womans , cant speak for non clothing depts but each brand had buyers, buyer assistant, merchandiser etc workforce on mens alone is down to less than half what it was, all seniors have gone as salaries were too high, so deffo some peopls left but to kickstart back these brands if thats the intention is going to take alot of HR

BetterBuy the admins made most staff redundant some time ago and many many suppliers walked away or simply went under. A few skeleton staff left running it with admins and stock bought against admins guarantees. All can be revivexd if required but to get all cogs oiled and turning is going to be one herculean task.

I really dont know what to make of this , i get the Beauty its a total no brainer. Mervv may i suggest you fcuk off off this board, stuff like this doesnt come along very often and a lot of us have shares and been on here for some time , everyone is trying to get a handle on this and voice there thoughts , if you dont agree then no issue but to keep saying idiot will cause this discussion to descend to **** , so pleaee stop the crap.

One thing i will say is that JL and ARs experience at Primark will have influenced this, perhaps they see an online version of Primark but they have a absolute ton of recruiting to do if they are going down this route and a massive amount of systems to put in place, let alone sourcing and somewhere to house all thos buying teams. Rightly or wrongly BH have just massively pivoted.

My opinion only , Debs was destroyed by private equity, the clothing brands are dead in the water, all the structure as been destroyed, Boo Hoo had to risk flying to Dubai in middle of a fkcing pandemic and get factories to visit them as they have low overseas supply chain, they now have to resurrect God knows how many brands from scratch, gonna be a long long haul. Loving your unbridled devotion to this deal, think you need to look into actual workings of this trade no just figures from 5 years ago.

Dont get it # dumbfounded , i can see the Beauty aspect but the structure and management of this company left some time ago , 50m for what? Perhaps they think the Debs online website will be good to market their London Brands. Im sure they see an angle but i just hope the angle wasnt Red Herring, Manta Ray, Conran, etc etc as these Brands really are worse than Burtons and DPs, i see it as a distraction as they have a ton of recruiting to re boot all these brands if thats the intention. Fastinating times , i have no idea what this will do to share px.

If Asos dont get TS/ TM then in theory they could turn around and bin them off, say that due to competition they nk longer require. Delloittes have signec off 10s thousands of orders at full price to bring it to Asos, ourselves and others we would not ship these until we had written guarantees from Delloittes that they would pay in full and they have duly done so these goods are on yhe water and more leaving every week. Could be another compelling reason why Delloittes maybe keen on Asos if bid is ballpark.

Danl90 tbh i think these hubs for global business are essential, stock fulfilment and returns all done from there. Goods shipped in charged at local duty rates depending on orgin of goods and trade deal with country of origin . So from a eu offer on say EU Asos site means quicker delivery and easy return as it goes into Berlin Hub direct from Fty, this is why i think Shein has so many delivery issues as im pretty sure they dont have but i maybe wrong but anotger reason perhaps why so keen to go extra mile to try secure their bid for TS/TM, like many uts a win win as i mentioned in past you pick up a shiny new DC with state of art hardware and probably softwear back office.

Just as a footnote, these DCs proved a nightmare when they first launched, we experienced big bottlenecks, a growing business trying to implement structure for growth, it badly effected them and share price suffered, they werent fundamental tho, just teething problems and were overcome, nice problem to have, strong demand and not being able to meet it. Today much smoother and seeing the rewards of direct shipping to these hubs.

@danl90 currently we deliver Asos EU goods to EU DC and US goods direct into US DC , goods leave in different containers from Country of Origin to these DCs.

2)sell to Asos at wholesale pxs they add there mark up, by far the most common practice
3)sell concession, normally retail, where you retain stock maintain manage stock and use someone elses store , you even in some cases man the concession with your staff, pay retailer a % normally about 27%
4) as above but on line, ygis us normally case for much smaller lesser known brands again percentage given

Might be other scenarios but im not aware.
