RE: ASOS Priced in13 Jan 2021 12:46
Think we are all looking for £4ish, i went in large on Asos back in April and held, sold the lot when it went above £51 last time back in Oct, already had been buying selling BH when it fell again in Oct stuck all the capital and profit from Asos into BH, calculated gamble, its a really frustrating share, Asos has been steady away, its grown gradually, no real drama's its a mature company and the management structure is strong and steady, yes it's not without it's issues but absolute no brainer back in LD1. BH is not Asos, the people that run it (JL and AR aside) are what it says on the tin, mavericks and a bit edgy, this brings positives and negatives, it makes this share such an emotional roller coaster, doesn't matter how much research you do or how much knowledge you have something can suddenly pop up, i'm afraid as long as family are so heavily involved it will always be the case, hate to say it but more tiers of management are needed. Asos/Next have strong own buy offer and also bring in other Brands, they have the structure to do this, BH is still a one trick pony and PLT is competing against itself which makes real longterm UK growth tricky, US if def the key for l/t and bringing a new Brand for a new Demo graphic will widen the offer. So lots of unknowns and uncertainty, if it gets above £4 i think lots of people may throw in the towel as it's like walking through treacle sometimes but hey why the hell not, if CV taught us on anything lifes too short, bank and enjoy the profits you never no what's round the corner.
