Id be shocked and astounded if anyone takes on Arcadia pension as part of the deal, it was circa 700 m i think on a buy out basis deficit at mo i think has come down a bit as TG put in 100m , without the burden of this pension TS TM is a very attractive asset with is why i think the big guns from US see so much value.

@pp admins will decide whats best for creditors and staff , PG will want a say but this time its not up to him he has no say. He is owed 50 m tho against a secured loan from his property company i think.BH i think are now out of their league on this now for TS TM , i do think Miss S would be a goid steal if they can get it same age group appeal to BH but diff demo that i think they need to widen their appeal.

PP , pension def is one of the reasons its in Admin , CV i think was a good get out for PG, the selling off of assets will pay up the pension, first in line i believe, no liability for any buyer.

@pp agree, in later years PG def took out a ton more than he put in, it was his cash cow.

My opinion so take or leave it but i think BH is not going to be in the running for TS , ironically for Delloittes i dont think they add as much value to the auction as others mentioned.

@pp , wallis is for the bin apparently and really i wouldn't even bother. Of course press are not always right but kinda makes sense to me and they are up against it with rhese consortiums. Miss S could be a good one for BH its alot less aggressive than GG and more in line with River, not the earner of TS/TM. That leaves DPs and Burtons, both these brands i think would be a hard slog unlike TS/ TM they are pretty tired these days and notc so sure anyone would hit round running and add immediate value to the BH stable where TS/ TM def would.

@peoplepower not looking likely im afraid, press reports this morning saying BH an outside bet with next and jd consortiums the front runners, as i mentioned before these brands span the globe and the bids i suspect are taking this into account , less value in them just as an online only offer and the consortiums and Delloittes probably looking at them as such.

@PP1 well good luck, i see issues but at the mo i think they are right place right time so i expect big things into the new trading year.

Thanks @PP1 as you know i am up to speed on BH, Next, Very, Asos, Arcadia, Urban Outfitters, Miss G, River, out of all the PLC's i would def say Miss G very high risk gamble if/when it floats, BH high risk, there really was no way of knowing what was going to come out of the Leicester situation, i had a inkling of what goes on there but Kamani could have had all sorts of links going back some time, BH is still pretty much family owned, this is why i deem it as a risk and that cloud whilst it has floated higher still looms over BH, that said i'm as confident as i can be that not much is left in the closet, Next, Asos very well honed, full structure in place of seasoned neutral professionals, as you would expect the working practices of these companies are very advanced, so much much less risk. All that said once Asos got above 51 i saw any further return was going to be low and slow so i sold up, i did hesitate to plough over 6 figures into BH as i def saw this as a higher risk but higher return, i'm l/t so jury still out but i;d be surprised if i was still in by the summer, the pack is being shuffled and hopefully next couple of weeks we will see everyone.s hand.

@PP1 Thanks PP and well noted, of course it depends which institution you use so you can be as hands on or hands off as you like, obvs these institutions are vast and varied in size, what they invest in and how they operate, I wasn't for one minute suggesting you sell up , go to say Old Mutual and slam it one of their pensions, just curious with the amount you have invested in BH why you have not de-risked it,
I'll agree to disagree on whether its a bet, i guess end of the day all investments are a gamble and to keep it in the same genre, one like BH i would say more of a gamble than one like Next. Thanks again for the insight.

@PeoplePower1 -Your betting an awful lot of money on what is in effect still a family run business. Can i ask why you do not just sell out and hand your winnings over to a professional institution, one that suits your understanding of the markets and your sentiment on levels of risk and who can manage diverse portfolio of investments as much or as little as you require . It will give you a return without the same level of risk as BH, not seeing this blowing up anytime soon but it's the AIM and it's BH, a heady mix so i would expect this share to be up towards top of the risk Triangle as a growth share so high risk. Just interested to hear your thoughts.

@Danl90 you mean the freight costs v returns benefit? These costs are of course affecting all so for the life of me i cannot u/s if analysts are fixating on it why, current SP is languishing below £3.60 still, ok it's only one day and i can see this again pushing up to £3.70 tomorrow but looking at BH peers its bewildering

Also would expect a slow steady rise but i have to say i'm bewildered that this is still below y.day's finish, Asos currently up 1.66% and thats off the back of rises, Next up 1.45% again off the back of rises and pushing record high, i think we all expect this to breach £4 but it's a case of when, the next 3 months are going to be very tricky, no one really has a reason to buy, Trans/Spring stock hitting down in next couple of weeks but why would you buy, weather is dire and no ones going out, most people will have already bought lounge/leisure , sure a few still will buy but i don;t expect any trade up to Y/E results having a massive impact on share px and certainly no paradigm shift, in fact with current freight cost issues we may even see a further pinch on margins, another fly in ointment is a TS purchase and tbh if successful this share could go either way on that news , likewise if not successful. With todays results i would have at least expected to have break £3.80, US is a bit of concern but impossible to judge at mo over there due to CV, once the World starts to emerge i cannot see anything but very strong growth, I've deffo gone from long to longer on this !

@Cooler yep this is critical for BH and should really start to sink in soon.

@Pmoran much thanks for insight PM, the % of private individuals looked high to me for BH so i was wondering if this was contributing to the jittery nature of BH shares. This morning we were always i guess going to see a bounce up and bounce back till it found a level, typical of BH it does the opposite, lol, i expect a steady rise from the lows of today. ABF is a banker L/T, obvs this period is giving more pain to Primark but again management is extremely solid, sound like a bullshi***r but i know Paul Marchant really really well from his years at Debs, went to his fortieth Birthday Party, he is a extremely shrewd guy, up there with the best, he came up through the ranks, he isn't some serial management ex Uni Grad (nothing wrong with that btw!!) , second half of this year for them will be their time to shine as H St competition dwindles.
