Just like to say that regardless of (in no particular order) Fundamentals, Results, Compliance, Non Compliance, Sustainable, Dubai trips, Leicester, Min Wage, Triangles, Downward Trends, Upward Trends, Margins, Competition, Support Lines, Graphs, Resistance Lines either Past, Present or Forward, Loungewear, Active Leisurewear, Hoodies, Influencers, Xmas statements, Y/E or LD3 lockdown, RNS, MMs, Shorters, L/T holders, and Day traders, (have i missed anything btw) Regardless of all of this we comeback to the same conclusion, the bouncing and bouncing and the conclusion that sometime soon, sooner, soonish and provided everyone has taken all above into account it will get to £4.00, boom.

@HJB1 100% agree, started out as Cult Clothing by Julian Dunkerton and Ian Hibbs had some pretty cool Japanese inspired Vintage T's, used to love the store in basement off Seven Dials in Covent Garden. Once floated you dance to the tune of growth, they went global and plastered SD name all over the product, this route has a shelf life, to be fair quality is good but they peaked when David Beckham wore one of their leathers, after this it became Dad's clothes amongst the Devon/Cornwall Summer Set and a a more nuanced competitor to Jack Willis so the nail was firmly driven into the over branded coffin. If it can survive it perhaps still has a place but needs to be stripped right back from the behemoth he was forced to become, otherwise another one bites the dust.

Webba , since Nov all our development meets have been on m/s teams and this incs Boo Hoo. Can only think as they expand Asian supply base that intially have to sort the wheat from the chaff could have made it much more low key tho. That said Neil Lennon walked out of a Celtic press conference yday due to what he saw as undue criticism so it is a bit of a non story but BH have previous so press will pounce. Think more to do with online tax, Next, Asos, JD etc all down

@Danl90 up to a point some of the costs can be mitigated down supply change, so many variables in this game but lets say some of the costs can be mitigated and some not, so a few prices increase to balance out margins pressure, i still think they would be cheaper than competitors i listed, if they can shoe horn in better fabrics to boot then even better they are less likely to get returns, good example is Garment Techs and testing, Asos Next etc very developed in this area with proper departments, Boo Hoo much much less as they are younger company, Asos/Next/ River insist on lock stich machine for buttons, thread less likely to unravel and button stay on, also before a order is cut at Asos/Next etc lab test on fabric has to pass and be approved, if not it can lead to garment tearing or seam slippage where seams tear as thread weakens them when sewn esp flatlocking (Asos do not allow flatlock on certain fabrics), BH don't require to do this before or have resources to monitor, so returns end up being higher and def more so on cheaper fabrics. BH know all of this and they will address it just takes time to put in all the departments and procedures, haven't even discussed the merchandisers yet and how stock levels are run.
BH is a growing company lots of additional structures to be put in place =people and systems= higher costs , no to mention freight issues which are blighting sector currently, so these are the margin pressures i can see, not so much competition as BH seems to undercut them by a country mile which makes me think there is headroom for them to inch up here or there on pxs. To sum up, to grow they need to recruit to plug the gaps= costs. BTW Love that Pantone Sweat !!!!

@danl90 issue i think on price takes many forms, if something is that cheap it's normally too good to be true. Always think that when parcel arrives the first impression is when you take it out of the shroud, if it looks like a rag then before you have even tried it on then you are having negative thoughts, so if something is cheap and decent margin then great but it can only be cheap because the guts have been taken out of the fabric so if its like a rag then more likely to be returned so margin is eroded, intake margin can sometimes be a false promise. So i do personally think that BH can afford to inch up prices and i think they def will have to, of course not carte blanch but strategically in some areas, lets put Shein to one side, who is BH's biggest competitor here and now , Miss G , Pink Boutique, Ikrush, Missy Empire probably Asos with GG ranges they bought out last year, pretty much all of these cannot even get close to BH prices and actually don;t seem to want to, so i know we disagree i think there is room for movement in some areas and i think actually they have to go up.

@Danl90 totally agree with your comments about marketing, no shop window in prime location and i'm def no expert on this but this has to be the area that will win hearts and minds and peoples dosh, whoever manages to be innovative, be most creative, spot the influencers and new apps and trends early are surely the ones who will reap rewards. Bill boards been a waste of time in lockdown but come back into play later in year.

@Danl90 i just seen your post re margin pressure debate to Mudis, where i think we disagreed is where this is coming from, i see it not from market flattening and increased competition but from costs needed to move BH towards growth, eg importing, re sourcing, marketing, people, systems.

If you mock you will be mocked, so can we just leave that one there otherwise we will be going back to square one which is a fruitless route for all.

It does sound like you are trying to spark up old ground and taking stuff out of context, i never said there was anything wrong about selling at £5 i asked why you are you selling at £5 when up to that point you had been pouring adoration over BH in bucket loads but then went onto say no more value in it for you which i get, as i said everyone has a right to change their mind.
I did say at the time alot of your comments 85% wrong especially some which referred to me personally and my company and then related back into BH, some of the recent posts on the board in general have been much more less confrontational and accepting and agree to disagree with people, so your new leave seems to be being stuck to.

As for selling in summer, i'm very fluid on this, if BH fail to get TS then i'm concerned about narrow offer competing with itself, I can also really see this in the way that they operate at buying level, the structure is just not there, its fine for local buying hand to mouth however as they grow the sourcing it needs to change and it is changing but very slowly. When we come out of LD i think spending figures will rocket i'm hoping this will impact on share price, like i say i'm fluid on this tho if i see them getting grip in all areas then my sentiment will probably change, i think we agree US situation critical and at mo very hard to see wood from trees with CV over there and what impact this will have on BH if and when situation improves.

@HarChris yep agree, anyone with a conscience probably going to Asos, not that BH are doing nothing just need to do more, in this business you need to tick all the boxes, if it wasn't an issue BH would ignore but they have For the Future range which does at least give a nod.

@Gango i'll agree to disagree on perhaps most but not all on your points.

Once retail opens up BH will 100% be competing against Primark as the demographic not all GlamourGirl but very large cross over and not least because people will be desperate to get out and enjoy the novelty of something called shopping!

This might be ok for some of Gen Z but for Gen Alpha it's not going to cut it, you have to search for it at bottom of page but it is there amongst T&C's, Cookies, Careers etc

@Gango this market is incredibly competitive, my opinion is that whilst 85% of BH customers don't care at percentage will, also fast fashion is under huge pressure from Government, the BH statement about Ethical and Sustainable on BH website is woeful, even Primark who arguably have the lowest prices around have a Primark Cares tab on the main landing page (before anyone mentions i know they do not offer online!!!) BH are massively playing catch up, Asos is a far more mature company and alot more stable in structure, i won;t get into the BH v Asos debate as this is already hugely debated on here by me and others. L/T BH is a good punt but its not without some big issues, the hype by some on here is not reflected by the share price, if it was it would be £5+ , run up to Y/E results for BH is going to be tricky and BH management are aware and struck a note of caution in their Xmas update, as they mature they are also like others going to suffer margin pressure , absolute key i believe for BH to maintain growth is US, get this right and they could soar.

@Gango Sorry but only bit i agree with is the coming out of this and seeing an upsurge in spending. At the moment no one has a reason to buy, this is fundamental, i expect most of Jan/Feb and some of March to be dire, lounge/leisure wear all done to death and wardrobes stacked full of it already. This morning we have had major re-phasing of orders from Feb/March by anything from 3 to 6 weeks, demand has fallen off a cliff and we are in the Casual/Leisurewear sector supplying online fashion, at present i'm afraid no one has a reason to buy. As for BH being ahead of Asos, well it def isn't in terms of compliance and sustainable (even activewear), last time i looked BH wasn't even BCI registered the most basic of sustainable offers. Don't get me wrong i think BH can get there on the latter but it has one hell of a way to go, this company is at the beginning still. My views only.

I mentioned on here before, Jan, Feb , March are tricky months, biggest driver in fashion is reason to buy, various reasons for this, like it want it going to have, influencer, practicality. Run up to YE is going to be difficult, SS21 ranges hitting down, its freezing, in lockdown and lounge/leisure done to death, so reason to buy clothes is at mo on a downer, perhaps markets recognize this. HOWEVER, i strongly believe summer and second half of year going into AW / Xmas is going to massive.

This period of change in the fashion industry is a paradigm shift, it will set the scene for years to come. Im intrigued and fascinated to see how this all plays out.

For me this contest for TS got blown apart when JD and Aunthentic Brands entered, Peter Cowgill is kne very very clever operator along with AB its a formidable partnership and if both sides can agree terms on how this bid is put together then will be very hard to stop. From a Brand point of view i also think it would be best for TSTM as both in the bid understand the sector and demographic better than the Next bid i think.

@pp indeed but akhtar was saying 8 brands too much for BH , like you say Evans sold for circa 23m to City Chic Aus co. and outfitis merely a fascia.
