@Danl90 ok you have again dodged my question, this is my last word on it, comment if like but its annoying/clogging the board so i'll move on after this.
Re your Swoon for the Market Place , my thoughts are this, Hut is a premium site, Brands want to be associated with it.
Debs is not and never will be, you want to plug the gaps and agree your partnerships, who with ???
I'll try help lets take a big Brand supplier to Debs, there demo love it, Regatta, who also btw own Dare2B , again a big online Brand for Debs.
You want them on M/P , hey hang on a min says CEO let me get this right , you want us to photograph , stock, procure and deliver to your customer and take back returns and you'll pay us how much??? What no way we have supplied you for last 10 years wholesale , no way we are not set up for this, we're off, i can do this with Amazon and get 10 times the busienss if i really wish to.
Mutliply this across all the Brands they currently stock, all of a sudden the loyal demographic you had for Debs and these Brands pushing those 200 million per year hits start to go where's all my favs gone.
You'll have no choice to be a reseller, if a Brand doesnt want the baggage of Market Place , what you gonna , get Mr Chi from China to supply outdoor where on there , great he'll jump at the chance but it impact you demo and hits quality everything will suffer and how the hell will he deliver it from direct from China.
In your ideal World its black and white but this isn't an ideal world , if you want Nike, Levi's, Ben Sherman then you will have to dance to there tune, if not you don;t want the model of a percentage being reseller like Next, JD, Very, Asos, HoF etc etc etc etc then i'll ask again where's your Swoon for Menswear that's going to sign up to this partnership?
To conclude they will get there, not perhaps as you suggest and its gonna take a big big effort.
