Well this week went to **** pretty quickly! Talk about a gamble on the economy. Can’t wait to see what the BoE do with interest rates next 6-12 months. March up to 5% by this time next year which will be good for Lloyds … if we aren’t bankrupt as a country by then.

When the banker bonus caps came in, the market just adjusted salaries to counter act the potential impact. A market led bonus package gives the CEO more opportunity to take risk, increase returns and grow the company. Lloyds seem to be doing this but I doubt salaries will go back to the older model very quickly. Slow and steady hand is needed so salary/ bonus pot should reflect that. More shareholders need to challenge bonus pots at AGM if the returns from a company are low (but we all know the major shareholders/ corporate companies control the reigns here)

Is there any info on CGH going into receivership and remaining assets? Saw the Contango shares land today in ISA but first time I'd heard anything about it. Thought CGH had gone under pre-covid after delisting so was a surprise to see the CGO shares added (but better than a total loss I suppose)

Buy back seems to be propping up the price at the moment. When complete, it’ll be interesting to see where the share price goes (especially if a big recession hits). Still seems a cheap share but other than dividend payments, not sure how long it will take to get up to Credit Suisse forecast level. Have to be in it for the long term and ride out any blips (but there have been too many for my liking)
