Have to own up mole - fraid I have! Nice post of yours with all the detailed observations as usual. Had a bit of luck to need cash when it was 35/36, oversold so had cash to get re-involved after Monday's carnage at 30.5/31 - then along came the RNS which I anticipated at the opening on Tuesday, so topped up further with some nice tranches - and you know the rest! Still on the prowl. GLA!

is maintained fairly wide at 33.875/34.37 and will probably narrow as trades arrive. Anything below 34p and I will be a buyer yet again.

Traders - just to report that stats on here today are rubbish and misleading. Actuals are 530k Trade Buys against 51k Sells - 10:1 as I posted earlier. Final late trade at 34p was undisclosed and exacted earlier in the day - and share price should read 34.5 as middle spread. It will certainly open at this tomorrow, and I would anticipate another positive day of Buying.

toro - there were an awful lot of sellers running for the hills when we crashed on Monday along with nearly everyone else - so lots of stock which has now been sold on a climbing market. So, logically, with very little stock in hand further buying will accelerate the SP - hence my tactics for the immediate term.

Real spread is now quite wide @ 34.16/34.82. If they close this up a tad, I may go again before the bell as we may not see these rates for much longer.

Pretty sure it will continue along similar lines for the remainder of this week as more investors realise they do not want to be out of stock come mid-Feb.

toro - its been the story of this share since the beginning of time. The main content of the RNS was the gamechanger of a positive date being given to first gas, and if you factor in the wrong definition given on this board to my early trades, the ratio is more like 5:1. Need some lumpy Buys now from the heavyweights who study the gas market to send us further upwards.

toro -first two trades for 22.5k and 50k were my opening Buys to send this feller on the recovery trail that you have so eloquently described. Call it a vote of confidence from an old LTH.

Apart from dunder raving about star clusters, think we have a reasonable reaction to today's long awaited RNS. As requested, we now have a clear and positive indication to a first gas target - mid-Feb plus a week and "a few weeks into 2022" was about ball park accurate. Over budget is not good news, but I struggle to remember projects of this nature, with all the complications, that ever complete within budget, and a bank loan to cover in the interim seems sensible. Prime relief is that there are no serious trouble spots to further delay first gas - and if the market reacts negatively to the news on today's bell, I shall be first in for a top-up.

denis - like you I have no doubt that the Board - who are well invested here also - and the IOG work team are flat out to get us to first gas. Lack of information to the market and to shareholders is always treated as a negative, so if there are hold-up problems, best to get it out now and show some transparency - and then give a much more definite timeline to the production and delivery date. Going stumm is no option - and I have to repeat my plea for an injection of some expertise in the information and PR department at IOG.

Totally agree with your heartfelt request for news, but for maximum effect - which we certainly need as the SP drifts in the information famine - timing is of the essence. Early next week would be fine by me - if not, a nudge for your in-house contact would be most appropriate.

mole - bad luck with the nosedive at ADV, which was a bit dramatic - but with imminent good news here you should soon redress the balance. Friday is not a good day for major news releases - so we look to next week for some education from AH. When it comes it needs to be strong and detailed, and include some positives from the re-drilling programme at Southwark.

Agree with gator and all on Bacton and the pressing need for news. Since the acquisition in October 2019, we have never really been told the extent of necessary repair works, and the time scale required for returning the facility to full working mode. My views on the PR lapses of this company and their lack of cutting edge expertise in this area are well known on this board - but I would endorse denis to say that the only release we need to see at this stage is a positive "job done".

CT & W - Its another situation where the true spread, especially when narrow, gets overlooked by the one presented on this board. We are currently Buying at 36p and able to sell good sized tranches at 35.875p - so the aggregates on here are totally skewed and misleading. I get my guidance from entering dummy trades - or sometimes real ones!

You are right mole. With midwinter blues setting in we need a booster jab of good news from the fountain of all knowledge! Be nice if you were a real mole and could report on the inner workings at IOG?

Isn't it great to have seasoned O & G men like Pipe, Sailor and GiGS on board to put us landlubbers right on tech and practical issues? I am beginning to follow the marine websites on ship movements - but the whys and wherefores are still a mystery to me - so thank you guys!!

Good to see that remedial work at Southwark is well under way - news of drilling here will be welcome as this contains substantial gas resources to augment the later flow in Phase 1.

Good point frog, might well be the tactics and its an interesting one at this stage. And good move viable - especially on the tight spread with 36.51 being paid at the close to sellers. After the wee blip post Southwark RNS, we have had a good week of recovery and resilience so would be useful to get some positive news out next week. GLA and have a nice weekend!
