Stu - full marks for persistence which I am quite sure will be fully rewarded. They need to lift up the Bid now to 27.5 as more is being paid for Sells to give a truer picture to investors.

Lemming and scored - we are settling at 27.60/27.45 which makes a bit more sense, and heading for another 1 million shares traded day. The very fact that we have day traders diving in and out tells you that they see no downside at this stage, and for PIs these trades are getting quite lumpy. Looking for a window to get my third top-up of the week.

With over a million shares traded today, things are certainly warming up, with PIs to the fore and some lumpy tranches going through. With 27.45 available for Sells and 27.44 for Buys at the same time, it was a difficult one to read in detail! Think you can assume that a lot of Reds were Buys in the second half, and that there were at least half a million of these. The story of real news to come is the likely driver of all this activity - and certainly needs watching closely!

Agreed ukgulf, and have followed your lead at 27.46p. Virtually zero spread at present with all the red 27.47 trades being Buys - and 27.45 to Sell. Another lively day and will do a reckoning at the close.

As no adjustment was made on here to the real spread after a raft of early Buys, the sea of Blue is somewhat misleading. After late returns were assessed, in a rather lively day of trading there were in effect some 250k Sells against 625k Buys, with 27.60 being paid for large tranches and 27.90 for even larger Buys. Worth checking for trends, as the information posted on here is frequently erroneous.

I believe your sums are correct, and with gas prices holding around the £2 per therm marker, we can only get one reaction when news finally arrives.

scored - long termers have got used to this under performance of SP, and the overplaying of certain anchors within the company. I expected this mini-bounce after Friday's over reaction and as I have belief, two little top-ups at 27.40 and 28p will kick start the week nicely. Don't expect any fireworks, but I think we will have a week of steady trading at this level. Just another ounce of patience required before the balloon goes up.

It was Red everywhere with main markets down over 3% on the Covid variant scare. As such, we did ok to hang on, and when things calm down next week, I can see a mini-rebound on the cards. Have a peaceful weekend All!

Nice trade scored and good luck with that. It is a buyers price again and 27.95 being paid towards the close and cannot really see the point of moving the spread - but these MMs are a law unto themselves. We will very probably stay around this level as we await further news.

I am sure that this BoD and management have got "a clear and committed plan" - but also appreciate that it is not ABC to fulfill it exactly to preferred schedule and timelines. Outside influences such as gas prices are the luck of the draw, but we have got some fairly confident forecasts of a sustained high level of price throughout the coming winter. Time to chill and watch closely imho.

GGIS - putting some perspective and balance on the information conveyed in the RNS is invaluable - especially for those such as myself who are very much learners with little or no experience of the complications of the offshore gas industry. It strikes me that the news on the rig repair is a real positive - and will be back in place for drilling preparations at Southwark earlier than we might have expected. If the project arrives at the key turning point of first gas flowing just a month or so behind schedule, I for one remain perfectly relaxed - as does the market if today's muted response is any indication.

to a lower rate by the MMs, actual Buys to date are 184k against 106k Sells - so no real volume and certainly no real panic either!

Frog - we tried to educate this poster a while ago, but he vanished rather typically when all the positives on progress and gas prices were coming in. We have a case of a glass completely empty person - and it is hard to beat that one!

It was always suggested in earlier RNSs that refurbishment and detailed pipe connection work at Bacton was substantial, and as monkeys has pointed out, all the key subsea work is now completed and ready. With safety another crucial factor - a slight delay to first gas should not phase investors one tiny bit, even though this jittery AIM market is bound to react to the slightest hint of delay. I believe that a very competent team effort has brought us to this point, and a tad more patience, if required, is not too great an ask.

Thank you GGIS - actually took a chance and bought a rather fetching feather to set off the hat after a very satisfactory week. The Bacton gas prices are through the roof now, and an early declaration of first gas would be extremely timely. Have a jolly weekend and GL to All!

No surprise here scored! Good news on the Bacton front, and a very solid day's trading with a raft of lumpy Buys during the middle of trading to record 1.28m total and some inevitable profit taking but still only 265k Sells. I think we may steady up around a new level in the 30p zone, and then push on again whilst gas prices remain in excess of 200p per therm. This needs to be monitored closely now as the occasional opportunity for top-up arises. GLA as ever!

No way the MMs could hold that spread with some lumpy looking PI trades coming in, with the penny finally dropping for some of the heavier traders. More in the pipeline (haha) with this board behind the news - already 29.5 being Bid. Last chance for 29p Buys on the opening bell so scraped in for another top-up. Here we go! GLA
