Can you really gambit? Took off my rose-tinted IOG specs a long time ago and have watched my remaining holding nosedive with every missed opportunity. GLA but I won't be running this time.
Ok dunder 1-0 to you! Are you back in here at these silly prices?
Not quite the first dunder! I gave my thumbs down quite emphatically after the PIs presentation and consistently highlighted the failings of the management team. It has finally come to a tumble, and that can only be good news for IOG and its investors. Recent dramatic drop is certainly an over-reaction but provided a great chance to get back in at a surprisingly advantageous level. Best wishes to the new team and all the regulars on here!
spoilt the recovery here and news of Q3 results would be most welcome at this stage. Serenity is gone now and we have taken the hit. Last day before ex-divi so had to top up with 50k - but, as so often I moved in too soon. Need to concentrate on maximising production at flowing wells whilst the POO stays above 90 IMHO.
Strikes me that as a general rule all the North Sea gold was drained by the A and B listers in the bonanza some 20/30 years ago, and what is left are slim pickings for the lower cap explorers and drillers, with problematic wells that promise without delivering. Best surely for i3E to concentrate on their proven delivery in Canada and employ their cash pile in further investigation of other strong prospects in the area plus a regular divi stream for investors? All IMHO!
Scored - you should be looking to get back in there as it is all pointing one way. Well run and with monthly divi!!
We dropped like a stone just after 3pm and cannot see the trade(s) that caused it. Could not get a Buy at 26.5 but back on track tomorrow when I expect to see 27p+ again. The OPEC announcement may not have sunk in just yet and with Q3 results and Serenity on the horizon can only see this going one way.
Jezz - spread is false as pointed out earlier. With all the factors moving this north I am pleased to have topped up at 25.6 and looking for another if I can get anywhere near 26.5. I am late to the party maybe, but there is great value left in this share IMHO.
David - assuming that post was for me, think you are mistaking "whines and whinges" for constructive and justified criticism. Shame to get personal attacks and abuse on a board that normally shares opinion and views in a reasonably well expressed manner.
mole - I think we all know what they need to do - but where is the evidence of their competence to do it?? This crazy market is showing them up in an even harsher light for ineptitude and lack of experience. Finding the bottom of this severe slide is like divining water. I am keen to get back in at around these levels but constantly applying the brakes when I consider the record of this BOD ever since first gas. An aside, but also observe the lack of judgement at LOG, who had every chance of taking a very nice profit for their bond holders at 40p+ levels.
You deserve some luck for your persistence steps and we may be touching the turning point now. Great buying price even in a turbulent market - just that constant factor of confidence in the BOD to get the job done and keep investors informed.
Good time to start trotting out all the cliches. You were all warned, so no excuses.
Very good post Mole, and pleased to see you confronting reality. "The only reason we are not in trouble is the highly inflated gas price" - you have never said a truer word - and at the originally company quoted "comfortable" rate of 45p per therm, we would surely have gone to the wall. I raised my concerns regarding the competence of this BOD after the early Spring PIs soiree which was not well attended by posters generally. I asked the persistent question about poor PR and was told by a senior executive that playing good news down was policy as we had no wish to stir up the green lobby or antagonise the anti-fossil fuel brigade. Laughable or what? Then a high profile O & G blogger confided that if AA or a similar suitor were to move in with a bid around the 55p marker it would "sweep away this lot and give the company a chance!" So while the Neros fiddle with their detailed fag packet calculations on future valuations and cash flows, it might be worth remembering that a good - ship, however seaworthy, is only as likely to make port in the hands of a competent crew - and IMHO we don't have one.
Gator - it is an absolute farce and total disgrace. I stopped trusting them at about the same time as the general market and fortunately took a good percentage of my holding off the table in the higher 30s but still take not the slightest pleasure in watching fellow LTHs suffer at the hands of a careless and incompetent management.
Gator - afraid you may well be right regarding the future scenario and effect of Ukraine war ending in defeat and humiliation for Russia and the immediate effect on gas prices. The level that they ride at currently plus the potential resource in the IOG portfolio tells just how much the market and key investors mistrust this management team - translating into a depressing rate of sp as we wring our hands in frustration.
