ArK87 has it right - generating cash to pay monthly divis and still sitting on cash plus the prospect of soaring gas prices as confirmed by OfGem puts an even glossier glow on the drilling prospects that we have. The spread here is normally too wide for day trading so I can only see one direction in both the short and medium term so have topped up accordingly.

Of course its not realistic and we do our sums till we are blue in the face - and there we go dropping further!

conrad - mistake to switch off i3E today! Great trading opportunity in mid-market and a big top-up at 27.03 was just on the money. On a bad day in general for AIM, this share has proved its resilience to improve the bid in spite of going ex-divi - and there were a preponderance of buyers to back this up. All IMHO!

viable - assume that you are referring to the errant IOG! I post regularly on that board and the current SP level is a mystery to all of us when you consider the provenance. It seems like a combination of indifferent management and persistent overhang of long term IIs - one who needs to sell at some stage some 27% of equity on behalf of bond holders. All this has overwhelmed what should be a golden patch for a gas producer with yet more to come later this year. Talk of takeovers is, as usual, just talk. All IMHO

There is a good chance of another divi being declared for next month, and I consider today's level to be an over-reaction to going ex-divi combined with a general sell-off on the O & G market. Accordingly, have topped up with a nice tranche of 48k shares at 27.03p and will continue to buy at these prices.

mole - thanks for your observations, always a well reasoned read. But I think your phrase "happy to sit" regarding CalE tactics seems to apply to any would be suitor out there with regard to a move on IOG. I have no idea what would appeal to LOG in terms of price setting for their holding, but quite sure that Malcy's comment to me at the PI meeting that an offer of around 55p from a party with the requisite "saddlebags" would do the trick. At that stage we were hovering in the mid-30s, so I am surmising that - since nothing has really changed - a more scaled down figure would be worthy of consideration.
Again, all this is meaningless unless there are genuinely interested potential bidders out there?

Still a nice little divi to tuck away, and it is the initiative rather than the frequency that counts We go ex-divi tomorrow which seems like a very good reason for a late top-up, and combined with all the other positive factors with this share I have gone for a 30k shares addition before the Bell! All IMHO.

mole - I have been reading on posts for a very long time now of all the likelihood of an imminent Buyout/takeover, with loads of opportune moments along the way - but nothing happening. All the IIs here are looking for is profit on return, whatever their agendas. Knowing the buying power of BH/WB, and all the invitations that have been made on posts for them to step in, I am wondering just what is holding up these potential suitors? If they are out there, now is surely the time to strike at this level of SP - and all the fanciful talk of 50p+ would not need to be reached to seal the deal IMHO. We have gas prices we could never have expected and the prospect of substantially more product coming on stream later this year, so I find the silence slightly un-nerving, especially when we read of the cash pile and acquisitive nature of the larger and more active gas producers in the region.

Bybrook's Sell was actually 60m! Quite a lump to digest and the price has held up rather well and becomes an attractive Buy at current levels IMHO.

Bunk - I go with the logic there, they cannot hold it down for very much longer given the supply situation. Another little divi declared for later this month - with all the arrows are pointing north with this active oily and top-up definitely due!

mole - I raised the possibility in a private conversation and was told that the flow from Elgood/Blythe needed to be established first before this income stream could be explored. Being a non-tech, I was left wondering how adjacent gas producing wells could link up with the main Saturn Banks pipe without further subsea construction?

Lets hope you are right monkeys. We have been flying that kite for a long time now without too much happening, and we were thinking that BH would step in at some stage. We have so much going for us, but getting slaughtered daily by the persistent seller. It is another one for the wish list, and I am firmly in the camp which looks to the reachable targets such as gas from Southwark to booster the flow - on time please in Q4!!

This "regulation" makes no sense at all obsolete - how about a normal update on an RNS recording the latest development news e.g. a new well being drilled, first gas delivered etc. etc. All price sensitive information and liable to affect the sp surely?

Scrum - would say that this is a very likely scenario, especially as LO have proved in other situations to be a rare animal - an institutional trader. And, with the IOG history and advantageous buying terms available, they have certainly had the gifted opportunities to do just that. But - would never expect them to negotiate a position for a takeover bid - not their style. All IMHO.

The 60m Bybrook sale is done now and correction expected but in no way effects the long term prospects here of capital rise plus potentially increasing divis IMHO. Have topped up accordingly at a very satisfactory 26p. GLA!

Great and surprising starting level for newcomers and also for topping up for old hands at IOG. Probably found the rock bottom today, and with gas prices moderating but still way above normal summer levels, this has to stage a recovery which proves to be something better than a dead cat bounce?

dunder - you have a point there. We all thought the offer to be a joke at the time, but not so funny now! Not dealt with professionally, as you say, like so many other issues with this BOD. Seen nearly all my profit dissolve like an ice cream in the Sahara - and that after sticking with this for over 5 years.
