Rainbow Rare Earths Phalaborwa project shaping up to be one of the lowest cost producers globally. Watch the video here.
who would be licking his lips at the prospect!
600 - I have lost count of the times I have pinpointed missed opportunities for IOG to effectively release company news at appropriate times. After a career in this discipline I have to come to the conclusion that they have a totally blank attitude to PR of any sort. I have no idea if they have an appointed agency - in which case they have to be fired - or attempt to handle the function in-house. In normal practice, there would be a list, to be constantly edited, of key opinion forming journos and broadcasters in the finance and commerce media who would be kept informed of all company developments. To make a splash at this stage would be a no-brainer - but as ever, nothing of this sort seems to be happening. It's mind-numbing actually, especially to one
Makes no sense at all unless it is very short term day traders taking quick small profits and paying no attention at all to the wider picture.
nice one - and well considered report by motley.
600 - "playing it safe" is hardly an option when you have a great and beneficial story to tell and the perfect time to tell it?
Also, once again the published spread on here continues to mislead. Out of 46 trades today, not one has been transacted below 40p and the true trading split is 40.25/40.42 - so we are in the digital age now and why not display it accurately and read the trades correctly??
Against this background one might have thought that the timely emergence of a new UK based gas producer would have made a great story for all main media outlets? PR deficiencies again, or are we waiting for the actual flow of gas to push the right buttons?
froggy - I drew attention to this serious failing on this board yonks ago. Trouble stems from a false setting of the spread to begin with. They keep it super wide when the reality is totally different. For example, no Sells amongst the late trades today are below 40p, but they still close the bid at 39.5p. You have to put constant dummy trades in place to get an accurate picture.
gator - great idea and count me in, always up for a London trip to the place of birth! Will send my own donation to the relief fund for Ukranian refugees and homeless persons suffering from this truly dreadful tragedy. Keep us posted on plans!
toro - triggering Sell trades at this stage reveals a nasty case of itchy fingers. If it enables Buyers who are a lot more savvy to get stuck in - so much the better.
Great trade gator and just one hour later you are in good profit. Joined in early for 15k at 36.7 and this is only going one way now.
frog - a lifetime of punting has taught me to never argue with good luck, and never look a gift horse in the mouth. Try it for the sake of your blood pressure.
Alan - good move and well timed also! Having been in here for 5 years or so and bought against the tide when we were in trouble at 10/12p I did not need to get too involved, but changed my tactics when we cleared my average at 18/20p and funding arrived. Have been buying at intervals ever since, cashing all my other investments to buy 7 more tranches early this week at 34/36p. So very pleased when the RNS arrived at a very unconventional time, and will hold now up to first dividend. GLA and have a peaceful weekend with thoughts for those less fortunate.
Not only narrow but often inaccurate in their reading. Have often posted on this failing - you need to insert a dummy now and again to read the true nature of the trade. Anyhow, well done for backing the share at a tasty price. An RNS next week will reveal the reward for your initiative we hope!
Lemmings - many thanks for very informative link. Spells out the gas supply scenario with great clarity.
for traders is 35.75/35.90 so much narrower than the published figures on here. We should close with a tick-up but they are a law unto themselves on this board.
Marie - that is a late declared off market trade, almost certainly one institution to another - seemingly always at middle price. If it is LOG it may not alter the holding percentage, so no RNS required. Methinks another big day tomorrow.
Think we got a resounding answer from the market today - over 3m shares traded with 140 individual trades with no input from institutions as I read it - final spread was 35.50/36 so 4% jump with the gazprom issue put firmly to bed. Looking to an RNS on Back Gassing to confirm progress at Bacton later this week or early next. GLA
Thanks Dave! Refreshing alternative view from a new poster, and hoping you are well invested here for that positive stance without baggage!
For what reason rigman?
scored - this news should begin to flush out the sellers, and with just a gentle bounce back I have taken a small top-up at 35.1 for 15k to add to yesterday's tranche. Things happening quickly now and cannot see this level lasting for much longer.
