GGiS - extenuating circumstances of course, but grateful for the oxygen of real publicity at last. BP does look the obvious suitor to step in, and now that the story has legs we should get some follow-up mileage when that deal is concluded to add to the anticipated news of gas flow. GLA
Well said Alpine! We got exactly what was asked for with this RNS, and a prompt cut off to any contractual arrangements with Gazprom. Offtakers of gas in the current environment is a racing certainty and a question of highest bid and most reliable partner. No response of course since issue of RNS from the usual plaintiffs ? Lets see how the market reacts tomorrow.
Can't say I understand it either scored. Nothing has changed from yesterday except that we are a day closer to first gas news. Why would you want to be out of this share at such a time??
scored - not me, but equalled that with 6 separate tranches at a 36.2 average. Just need a smooth run-up to first gas news now!
in today's DT Business - "Europe unites to reject Russian Gas" - so, come on IOG, show a leg!!
robiz - read last week's posts - it has been dealt with!
Its a Buy alright din! Might be a case of let the money follow you?? More fun and games tomorrow could make a bargain of today's tranches.
Well over 1m shares traded today, and narrow spread for some time of 36.11/36.22 - so a number of Buys wrongly recorded. Ratio of Buy/Sell more like 2:1 and I am expecting more of the same tomorrow. GLA.
scored - just paid 36.22 for 34.17k to level up the figures. Best price for most of the day and will be recorded Sell. Whilst this holds personally think it is fill your boots time.
Thanks for operational update GiGS! Activity on the market too from first bell - had to split a tranche 4 ways to get transacted on HL. Have a feeling this is definitely on an upward path now so GL to all IOG investors!
Thanks GiGS - that's put the gazprom "scare" tp bed. Can't think of too much to hold us back now, just like to get there with a spell of fine weather and no hiccups. Have a safe weekend all!
scored - could not agree more!! Since your fairly recent arrival, the glaringly obvious just hasn't happened, and I am talking from an LTH comfortable profit stance. With all the factors pointing one way - and even more so for a gas provider on the cusp of production with the current news from Ukraine - 40p is the absolute minimum we should be looking at. Bit of upward movement today, but nothing nearly as dramatic as it should be.
holding this price down and the 50k @34.01 was another. If we are still at this sp on the eve of first gas, I know what bullish posters will be doing!!
Another busy day with totals sure to top 1m shares traded. Back to narrow spread of 33.72/33.80 but hard to understand the number of Sellers given the news. Gas flowing as commented will demand a re-rate in short order, but would you want to be out of this share at this juncture?
Lemmings - brilliant work in great detail and a very comprehensive analysis of the forward valuations of gas resource at a range of prices. Great benefit to IOG investors and worth a long study - many thanks Lemmy on behalf of the board regulars!
mole - would imagine that your take on the Gazprom arrangements is correct from a legal viewpoint. Keep the faith and cut the IOG team a bit more slack in spite of mistakes - their moment is close at hand!
Also fair point G & O - my only fleeting visit to Shell was in March 2020 when it dropped to £9 - so sold a week later at £12 for a rare success! Would not mind being in there now as these giant companies have a way of ignoring politics. If it makes you feel any better on % diversification, against broker advice IOG constitutes my entire holding and my strategy is admittedly not for the faint-hearted. Topped up earlier this week at 35 and 34.5 but quite happy to sit tight.
gold & scored - could be an institution swap trade, and if not seems rather unprofessional to trade that many at once as it is bound to be transacted at a lower rate. Investors need their cash for a variety of reasons, and are sometimes obliged to trade against their better judgement.
I thought about that one too - but there will be plenty of other takers if IOG are prevented from dealing with them?
Natural Gas prices up a further 10% on the news of Nordstream cancellation - but nobody told IOG and its potential investors, so the MMs marked us down a jot instead! Another head-scratcher which defies logic?
