Rainbow Rare Earths Phalaborwa project shaping up to be one of the lowest cost producers globally. Watch the video here.
Thanks mole - will look out for you next wed!
Invaluable details of offshore activity Sailor! You are doing the company's job for them and we PI shareholders are most grateful for the continuous and detailed reports which lend confidence to those invested here at an important stage in project development.
Mole - do you have any details of next Wednesday's PI meeting in London?? Time and place would be useful - many thanks moley!
Be our guest viable - it better be good!!
GGiS - suspected it was LOG as posted some time ago in response to scored's concerns. Just a small matter of 4.5m shares shedded, and no particular reference to an institutional buyer. So - if the regular market has absorbed these Sells, I consider that the sp has held up rather well.
Ref. the chemical injection failure at Blythe, I am sure that all the regulation checks were carried out - but machinery still fails under operational conditions, as we all know from technical failures in our own domestic setting? Would just like to see this rapidly sorted as a matter of urgency and some satisfactory communication to inform the market that gas from Blythe is now flowing again!
You are right mole - I do have a go as with a long haul and consistent buying at lower levels I was able to see a nice profit for a quarter of my holding at the 43/44p level. I honestly expected it to rise from there, but when the seller and others got active, I had to buy them all back at 37p. Bit of luck and some intuition involved - and with all nicely compact within an ISA I have no intention of selling at this level plus the current operational scenario at Blythe and Southwark. We have lived with the LOG overhang for a long time now and the suggestion that we get some updates on the Ii holdings levels at the PI evening seems a good one to me. And thanks for all your posts with the usual astute analysis.
GiGS - many thanks for the forward planning schedule and summary. Gives some longevity of supply for a period when home based gas looks like being both in demand and at a premium.
Will you be planning to put in an appearance at the aforementioned shareholders evening on April 20thg.?
mole - answers to that one will be interesting now that Bacton is a viable reception facility.
First day of the financial year - and I have gone for the full allowance on existing ISA so will be looking for a top-up opportunity on this feller!
for some time - and we get a nice little tick-up!! So hard to read the market on this share.
mole - there was considerable talk at one stage of the prospects of additional income to flow from sub-letting use of the pipeline to other gas producers in the SNS network. Do we have any evidence of this to date?
Good news sailor! Thanks for all the updates. We need a nice clear run through with Southwark drilling and resource assessment.
I will leave an assessment of this latest setback to those with industry experience but I do have to agree with gator that the sequence of problems on just Phase 1 of the project seems excessive and unnatural. Also a much clearer identification of the problem at Blythe would help and underlines the ongoing struggle that this company has with proper communication to the market and its shareholders.
that the total number of trades in the month of March was an IOG record at 4190 - a figure in excess of the total for the previous 4 months. At least first gas has promoted a far greater number of new investors in spite of lack of news pertaining to the "event" in the main media. A BBC news item in the week on North Sea gas supply majored on the Norwegian pipeline etc. etc. - but no mention of Bacton or a new supply source!
Thanks guys for the explanation ref FSCS and LOG share dispersal.
Another late declared trade for 200k was obviously an Ii Sell again - although we had a nice tick-up in spite of the aggregates? There must be some adjustment on size of holdings with a number of recent dispersals, so I would have expected an RNS on the state of play. Have a nice weekend both on and off shore!
Good thought affc, and highlights our perennial problem of price control by Iis with the size of their holdings and their commitment to fund performance. With the LOG situation, I would have thought that after a stretch of time and with good profit facing the administrators, that bond holders would be exerting some pressure for their cash?
Agree with all that viti and wolster and have been surprised for a long time that CalE with abundant finance available from BH have not made the move sooner to tidy things up and allow IOG to move on unhindered. Now, with gas finally on stream, is surely a good time for some bargaining?
Dinsalas - many thanks for the link. I plan to attend - any others up for it?
It was a reasonable forecast with a very obvious buying level attained after a fairly benign RNS. As such a late raft of Buys - and some chunky ones - made no difference at all, and there is no doubt that the MMs are playing this like a fiddle now that so many new investors have arrived to the party. Many of these are day traders who will easily dismiss a share if it does not show an instant profit. Also a common fault on this board are the daily aggregates recorded - way below the real number of shares traded on the day. Will continue to hold in the hope that some form of sanity returns! GLA
Thanks mole for the usual sound assessment of reasons plus a few extras I had not considered. Now for once we have a prompt announcement ref minor teething troubles at Blythe and the remedial action being undertaken to get back to regular gas flow in the short term. Good news regarding the re-constitution of a sound sea-bed base for work to get underway at Southwark with costs covered by cash in hand - and a new target of Q4 possibly to get this larger supply source up and running. Think we will let this one calm down and take a pull whilst the market corrects into a steadier phase.
Have been through the mill with this share, but having sailed into calmer waters with a fully financed and de-risked scenario plus the attainment of an important target in a very favourable market for our core commodity - I am dumbfounded at today's retrace of sp. Ok - there has been some consistent selling since the announcement of first gas, but also some reactive buying with large volumes compared with our historic levels. I am well used to the MMs tricks on the AIM after more than 30 years of investing, but this is different and I can put no logical interpretation to the strategy. Another buying opportunity for sure considering the true valuation here - and more views from some of our seasoned posters and LTHs would be welcome.
A disappointing close to the week with PIs getting repeatedly shafted by the persistent 50k seller, who looks more and more like an Ii disposing gradually of his share mountain. Could LOG fit the bill? GLA
