We only have a half day of trading tomorrow so an RNS would be good before Xmas. Over 1.3m shares traded again today with 3 hours left. Profit takers have opened another Buying window at sub- 35p rates, so a small top-up seemed appropriate with Xmas almost upon us. Have a good one every poster on here - and Roll on '22!!

I do indeed Gold - but well played for your persistence and belief over the years! We did touch 34p for a week or so in Summer 2018, but I just kept buying. Not a very good profit taker I am afraid, and still holding on for first dividend rather than first gas - which may come in 2023? Beginning to read the market sentiment and movements a lot better these days and the present run and immediate prospects give me great confidence in IOG.

Lemmings - I would say that your better judgement has prevailed. You have the evidence as detailed, and I am just as amazed that the price is held down against the gas rates for present and Jan.

A run of Buys at the top of the spread and this is now asking to be moved up with so little Selling?

dropping 1.5p for no apparent reason. MMs set the tone by chalking us down before a ball was bowled, with no subsequent weighty Sells to follow, and Buys coming in at a surprisingly bargain rate. Many investors will want to take advantage of this price before things warm up in the New Year, and can see a fairly rapid re-rating around the corner.

We closed a mixed day with two strong trades and a 31.75/32.3 spread with Buys having the edge. True spread is 31.95/32.3 - so some blues at that level are Sells. Still strong, and the first run of Buys today will carry this towards 33p for the weekend.

GiGS - as they can afford to turn away from 21 bcfe by relinquishing the licence, they have presumably got some confidence in greater resources being tapped in other wells? For those concerned about lack of resources in the "hopper" - this is surely good news for Phase 3 development and beyond?

Go on scored, you know it makes sense. True spread on the Bell was 31.75/32.20 after another lively day at the office. Positivity is gathering momentum with the prevailing logic indicating that this level will vanish once we get the news of first gas in the New Year.

They are asking quite a bit more now - so that "bad" RNS provided a nice little window for non-doubters to top up their holding. It is not taking a lot of positive volume to move this in the right direction, and no further news is required this side of Xmas to keep it rolling. GLA

Worth knowing the true split of trades today was exactly equal with 367k Buys and same Sells total. Unless there are dramatic moves either way, I can see this balance holding roughly the same until after Xmas. GLA
