Fair Value Today26 Oct 2024 11:51
Ignoring the current share price and market cap which I think is pretty much irrelevant now, just trying to work out what fair value might be in today’s market.
We know that they’ve put a 75-100p value on the DEWA assets but nothing ever trades at fair value at this stage. Let’s take the lower amount of 75p and apply a 75% discount (to increase as it goes through development planning etc), that equates to 18.75p today.
£14.65 for Kertang is unrisked potential post farm out . 22% CoS gives us a value of £3.22 and if we again apply a 75% discount to that (again to increase once well planning & rig booking progresses), that equals a value of 80.50p today.
So I think fair value is about 99.25p in today’s market. Call it £1.
That excludes any cash received as part of a farmout deal.
So I think we are still only at 37.5% of fair value (using some pretty hefty discounts), suggesting this still has some way to run, and possibly even further depending on the farmout deal.
Any thoughts?
