I think what some people seem to misunderstand is that funding is the last step.

Nobody agrees to fund a project of this scale without all the necessary consents in place. An issue with the EIS could, for example, add significantly to the costs or viability of the project which would affect a funding decision.

It may be (I’d say almost definite) that Navitas have funding agreements in principle but they will be subject to getting things like the EIS approved.

As such, this is undoubtedly a significant step forward even though it was probably anticipated by shareholders.

Thenorseman, I’m sure the projects are independent of each other and both need to stack up financially in and of themselves.

However my experience of business is that the head of a company will always be looking at the ‘whole’ as well as the parts.

I don’t profess to know any more than anybody else on here and I could well be wrong - FID could indeed come in 2024 but I personally wouldn’t be surprised if they wait until Shenandoah comes on stream.

For me that would be the prudent thing to do before committing to another enormous development project, but they might be in a bullish rather than prudent mood!

We shall find out soon enough.

Nobody is slandering you Aim. They’re just fed up with your constant whinging, repetitive nonsense and attempts to talk down the company whilst buying more & more shares. It’s just pathetic behaviour.

I’m saying that 2024 FID for Sea Lion was Navitas’ objective at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately for them Shenandoah got pushed back and I (& Sam Moody) suspect that will have a knock-on effect on Sea Lion.

I don’t think Navitas feel the need to keep updating their timelines on Sea Lion because a few months here & there are nothing to them. The shareholders on here are hung up on it because Sea Lion is RKH’s only asset.

I suspect Navitas will update the market on likely timings in due course once they have resolved the EIS & FDP but there is little point in them continually updating their expected FID date just to placate some whingers on the LSE forum.

Who knows, we might still get FID this year, but logic tells me it will get pushed back.

So there is a difference of opinion on when FID might be - that’s absolutely fine.

It’s really not a big deal to Navitas if FID is next month or in 6 months. I agree with Sam Moody and think it will be once Shenandoah is on stream next year. Don’t get hung up on their objective to reach FID in 2024 - Shenandoah has since been delayed and although Navitas haven’t publicly stated that Sea Lion FID will therefore be delayed, it’s a fairly sensible assumption.

It would be a very nice surprise if that isn’t the case but I’m not expecting FID this year.

I agree Marunam. Some RKH shareholders seem very hung up on the ‘2024 FID’. I guess that’s because Sea Lion is the only game in town.

For Navitas the immediacy of it is less important and they have other assets they’re working on.

I wouldn’t be surprised if FID happens after Shenandoah is on stream. If so then so be it. It would be nice to get a bit of an update and a positive OM outcome in the meantime though.

The downside is the whingers on here will be bleating on about delays and inability to finance.

And Aiminvestors, FID can indeed be a ‘big bang’ announcement. There is no requirement for Navitas to release multiple announcements for each aspect.

You mean the share price would be higher if they announced it to the market, which is obvious.

Doesn’t mean they haven’t sorted it behind the scenes.

Of course finance is the biggest impediment. Doesn’t that go without saying?

Aiminvestors or Godders or Godbold or whatever you want to call him has been outed (not just once) as a manipulative and deceitful sc*mbag.

No matter what the share price has done, he has consistently attempted to spread doom & gloom whilst accumulating shares from others. I doubt very much whether his postings have actually had any effect on anybody and I suspect that all he’s done is waste his time, but it’s the intent that counts. And his intent has been to scare other shareholders into selling their shares so that he could buy them.

Of that there is no doubt.
