NURI123, I've managed to make over £50k profit from this "online delivery company" so I'm more than happy. Looking at your track record with the likes of RMG I don't think we need to be too worried about your predictions being correct.

Hi, I have these in a SIPP with AJ Bell. They are now valued at 0. The message from AJ Bell is
"We have been chasing both the registrar and our counterparty for an update regarding the outturn of this Corporate Action. Unfortunately, we have not heard back as of yet. Nonetheless, we are continuously chasing so that we can provide shareholders with an update as quickly as possible."
I'm not very impressed bit I assume I'll get my money back at some stage in some form.

Typical Tories, tax cuts for the well off and sod the rest.

I note that Investors Chronicle have this as a sell in their weekly tips. Over the last 2 years they have had 41 such tips and 28 have fallen in value.

I suppose we are all gamblers really, at least on average with the stock market you should make money, on the horses only 1% of gamblers make a profit. I now make small profits on the horses but really only bet for fun.
I have a plan to visit all UK and Irish racecourses, currently done about 30 out of 90, next stop Stratford on Tuesday.

BAMPS, I agree about only having 1 or 2 shares. I never have more than 10% in more than one share but then again all my income is derived from my shares so I would be in big trouble if I only had 2 shares and 1 plummeted. My gambling requirement is fulfilled by betting on the horses!

Agree with snkj68, their are risks associated with these type of investments and they are not really ideal to be used for short term purposes such as holidays. Personally I do not know why people invest in funds and pay exorbitant management fees, you'd be better off with a low cost tracker fund.

Thanks. They are now valued at 0p. I've contacted AJ Bell and they tell me this is because they are not receiving a price. I assume once they receive the Sibanye shares they will credit my account. Hopefully when I sell them it won't cost me a fortune like it did last time I had shares in a company taken over by a foreign company.

MRD, well done on making money on PMO. It does not change the fact that you were way out with your price predictions. Also, you do not know what the bottom is for PMO. The money I reinvested from my PMO sale has made more than I would have done if I had remained in PMO. If that makes me stupid then I'm happy to be stupid.

MRD, I don't think I'll take too much notice of your predictions, they are usually wrong.

A couple of examples, 2 weeks ago you said "this will be 90p next week". Back at the end of April you said "this is going to 126p in May". Oh dear, how wrong you were.

Not to mention your sudden exodus to Royal Mail, paying 220p with the comment "this will go back to 270p over the next couple of weeks". Currently it is 195p.

If I'm a muppet then I'm not sure what you are.

If there is one piece of advice I would give to new investors it is do not hang on to a share just because you have lost money and certainly don't invest more to "average down", I have hung on to shares in the past hoping they will recover and they usually don't. Barclays may recover but I think there are better investments out there, I have invested in HSV and ICP, both shares with good momentum.

BB, it is not my reason for selling, I wouldn't make any decision based on comments on a BB.
