Don't get too excited, it went up 5p on the 1st March and had lost it all a week later. I bought at £2+ so don't have much affection for ITV, it has been a bad investment and I should have sold ages ago. I hope the rumours are true but I've heard them so many times on this BB that I ignore them now.

Nige, a small sample I know but I have asked 20 people who watch soaps whether they would pay £20 a month for soaps and they all said no. Half of them do subscribe to Netflix.

NIGECO, I think the reason why so many people watch the soaps is because they are free, I really can't see many people paying for them.

PSN down 7.5% but the dividend only accounted for 5.2% so with the dealing costs you would be worse off by 3%. I remain to be persuaded on the merits of dividend chasing.

Builders making profits of £60k on a £200k house seems excessive for what is thought of as a basic right, to own a home. It does not seem right that help to buy in effect takes taxpayers money and transfers it to the directors and shareholders of housebuilders. Given that the government has been the main driver behind the profits I think a windfall tax on housebuilders profits would be justified.

If you bought on the recommendation of someone on a BB then you must be an idiot (no disrespect to SUFC, even though I am SWFC!).

I don't see the logic in chasing dividends. Everything else being equal the share price falls by the dividend and you lose out due to the stamp duty and other dealing costs.

It's not about the past, it's about the future. Also the absolute share price is irrelevant unless you have a comparative.

To be fair to JB, I think if you had followed him over the last few years you would have made some decent money. I suspect this is good luck rather than skill.

I don't approve of shorting, I don't think it adds any benefits to the system.

Then again I don't have much time for the banks, the whole system has turned what should be a very basic function of lending and borrowing in to a complex business that basically transfers billions to the rich.

Bulent, if you know what you are doing then you can make good money on the stock market, but make sure that your investments are well diversified, I make sure that no more than 10% is invested in any one sector.

The main reason Japanese manufacturers are relocating back to Japan is because the EU have agreed zero tariffs for Japanese cars, thus removing the main reason for Japanese companies manufacturing cars in the UK. It also makes it easier for Germany to export cars to Japan.

Tom, why is it due to Brexit? On Radio 4 I heard Honda's senior vice president say "this is not Brexit related".

Also on the news today "UK employment hits record high". But no one seems to mention that.

Mr D, I suggest you read and digest ONEDB's comments. "It's crazy what I sometimes read on these BBs". Also "the rest is BB paranoia." It's good to see such logical analysis by someone with proper knowledge of how the stock market works.

I bought £21k of shares in June at 95p so at one stage I was £11k in profit, a coupe of months later my investment had gone down by £21k. However, nobody forced me to buy these shares, I accept that shares can go down as well as up and any blame is all mine. I do not spend my time ranting about the CEO or the mysterious forces that you believe are intent on manipulating the share price.
I also spread my investments across several sectors so I am not overly concerned by the poor performance of one individual share.
Perhaps you should follow my investment strategy, then you may not feel so bitter and angry !

You chaps only seem to comment when the price goes down. I must admit I don't have a lot of time for miserable people unless they have a genuine reason.

Members, PMO is up 9% over the last 3 days and you are still moaning. This is better than CNE and TLW.

I hope you are right Nige as I am now invested in TW.

However I'm not sure about your comment on builders performance in a recession, at the height of the last recession in 2008/9 TW shares had fallen from £5 to 10p.

House prices in my region have only just returned to their 2007 level.
