The statement from Tusk explains why we should get away from these self serving European bureaucrats. All they care about is themselves, I don't see why I should fund people like these, let's get out with a no deal now and spend the £39 billion on something useful.

This is back to the top of my momentum list so I am in with £30k's worth. 3rd time I have invested. 1st time I lost half my investment, 2nd time I tripled my investment. I expect a bit of a roller coaster with this, last 3 days certainly back this up.

Ocado the top performing company in the FTSE100 last year and already up another 25% this year !

OILUSER, good to hear a sensible comment. PMO is a yo-yo share, catch it at the right time and you can make excellent profits, looks like my timing is wrong on this occasion.
It is not a share to hold for the long term, you'd be better off with BP, it hasn't really moved much in 20 years but pays a decent dividend.

Members, I admit I know very little about PMO or the oil industry, even though I was FD of a company in the oil industry before I retired.
All my investments are based on share price momentum, I am successful about 70% of the time, looks like PMO is going to be one of the 30%.

I have not selected the date and I have no agenda. Members comment was "even on the Zama day we managed not to out-perform TLW, CNE etc". This was factually incorrect.
I am irritated by the constant pointless whining of some people on this board. I am many thousands down on this share but nobody forced me to buy it. Some I win, some I lose, the only person I blame is myself, not the BOD or the market makers, the shorts or the "greedy market makers". If you don't like the way the market works then perhaps you'd be better off putting your cash somewhere else.

I will put my money where my mouth is and make an investment in TW. The price is now higher than it was 1,2 and 3 months ago so I am happy the momentum is in the right direction. Plus the excellent dividend. Plus all the positive comments on this BB.

I was using the end of December 2017 as the denominator so slightly longer than 1 year. Not really sure why you need to call me stupid. Selling shares for fun, now that's what I'd call stupid, unless you've got endless amounts of cash, in which case good luck to you.

I agree that if you had bought 5 years ago PMO has underperformed. However if you had bought 3 years ago, 2 years ago or 1 year ago then PMO has overperformed. 3 years ago PMO was 48.5p, it is now 73.7p, an increase of 52%. In the same period CNE is up 17% and TLW is up 23%. Please let me know why these numbers are rubbish.
Even in the last year PMO is down 3%, CNE is down 13%.

I agree with you that diversification is very important. I never have more than 10% invested in any one sector. I also think it is often sensible to sell a share that is losing money, it is more likely to continue to fall than recover. With regards to dividends I have previously invested in shares for capital growth but as I am now in my senior years I think I will start looking for shares with good dividends so I may soon be investing in housebuilders.

Tom, I assume you have recovered more than that in GGP?

Members, you seem to be continuously whining that PMO has vastly under performed it's oil peers. It doesn't really help anyone and also is not strictly true. Over the last 2 years PMO is down 1%, CNE is down 22% and TLW is down 35%.

Well done on GGP but I suspect most on these BBs have had a poor 12 months and will find you bragging about your investment decisions rather tiresome.

Just received my house insurance quote. 30% increase with no reason. Very unethical. If it had been less than 5% I would have probably renewed. So I will now move to another insurer.
Used to be a member of the AA car recovery service for years but again got cheesed off by premiums increasing above inflation year after year. When I phoned them up they offered to reduced my premiums by half. They had obviously been overcharging me for years for my loyalty. Terrible company, I can understand why the share price has been so bad.
