Demand may be greater than supply but this doesn't seem to result in increases in house prices. House prices now are at the same level as they were 12 years ago. A labour government is considering giving the Bank of England responsibility for limiting house price inflation with a target of zero price increases for 5 years. With labour and materials costs increasing this will impact on margins and profitability.

After nearly 40 years in business I have come to the conclusion that you can't trust anyone. If a price of £3, £4 or £5 etc. was so obvious then the current market price would not £1.49. If I was offered a 30% premium on any share I would happily take it.

We can all come up with a figure which we believe is the true value of ACA but in reality the only meaningful value is the current market value, i.e. £1.50. Usually takeover premiums are not much higher than £30% so on that basis £1.95 would be a fair price.

MB said that he is open to buying out the minority shareholders, but not at a premium. This doesn't sound like good news.

But if the share price drops you are in trouble. House prices have stalled and with the BOE predicting more interest rate increases than expected this could have a major impact on house prices and the profits of builders. I would be reluctant to invest any more in builders and certainly would not borrow money to invest.

Finally got rid of this dog. Bought at £2.54 in April 15, I was going to cut my losses 12 months later at £2.41 but was foolishly persuaded by those on this board with their constant drivel about takeovers and how wonderful Dame Carolyn is. I think my money is much better invested elsewhere.

In the last 4 months oil is up 40%, WG is down 20%, not much correlation there.

I commend people's faith in this share but it may well be misguided. Nobody predicted that it would fall 45% so who knows where it will end up.

Too true. I was well up but now well down but not lost as much as you, ACA is only a small part of my holding. My biggest investment is OCDO and I have benefitted from holding on to those so it's swings and roundabouts. You have to be philosophical in this game and not get too uptight, so long as I can afford a couple of pints a day and feed the dog (and wife) then I'm happy !

When I purchased these a few months ago I was very encouraged by the positive comments on this BB and thought I might be in for a good pay day. Just confirms that the market is a better guide than PIs who comment with only limited knowledge.

Members, to have all your savings invested in one company is very foolish, especially one with such a high beta and that pays no dividends.

Down 35% in less than 2 months, very disappointing, I certainly wouldn't be investing any more in this unless the momentum changes. BB's target price of £5.75 seems a long way away.

From a personal financial viewpoint I will probably be better off with a soft Brexit or remain. From a democracy and principle viewpoint we should leave with a no deal and not be subservient to the self-serving Euro bureaucrats. I voted to leave and expect my democratic choice to be honoured.
