Ade if you look at the RNS over recent months you will see that when a director sells the shares, they are being bought by the Darktrace employment trust or if I am not mistake KKR in the past. So none of those shares fall into the free float for us mere mortals.
Though once they all start to unload then the SP could catastrophic.

Had been deliberating for the past couple of weeks of opening a position in the JP Morgan Emerging but couldn't pull the trigger and kept getting dragged back looking at some of the holdings I already had. So just picked up a few more of this up as well as Ashoka India (AIE). It has increased my average to 3.10 from when I picked some up at 2.61 but it is still a 16.5 % discount to the current NAV and giving me a 4.4% div for this current year.
My long term outlook is I expect a further 25% increase over the next 12 months and if that is the case the Nav will be back to £4.63 giving me a 6% yield going forward.
Though as I mentioned before it could all come crashing down and be worthless. Just means another 5 years working instead of retirement.

I would not worry too much about the Director sales in Dark there are far too many shares locked away from free float for a few million share's too worry about it. Also every time a director sells Dark buy them back off them to put in their ever growing freebies pile.
Ah well looks like I will have to wait a bit longer for my £3.80 to get out.

Charles unfortunately I am now about to filter you. Not because you are talking absolute nonsense it is because you offer nothing to the board other than constant ramping. The likes of Sheltie, Lending, Bobcaca and getafgrip (as well as any others) bring quality discussion to the board. They bring fact not fantasy. We are all private investors and enjoy at times learning from each other through the introduction of quality content.
In over 18 months you have offered and constantly offer nothing to this forum. Better for you to be in the filter bin.

Although I had hoped I knew and expected nothing less Charles. You have highlighted your complete lack of knowledge about Darktrace and have confirmed what most of us already knew. Just a bad clueless ramper.

What is that 3.16% and how does it affect the shareholders. (I have basically given you the answer there)

Charles as you responded to my post I will give you the common decency in offering a reply.
1) How many shares do they all own today - Do some research and find this out yourself. Stop throwing random statements when you are to lazy to bring facts to a forum.
2) To grow the biz fast , sell more software in 2023 - This is an outstanding idea I am sure all businesses have never thought about selling more product than they already do.
3) Get new investors to buy out any shares any wants to sell a few - Not sure if you have missed the past RNS reports you my be surprised.
4) A take over bid from TB still possible in 3/4 months - The business also dropping to £2.50 a share is equally as possible and the likelihood of the two is definitely this dropping t £2.50 a share. TB looked at the books and said "not a chance I am out"

You are right on that Charles everybody needs cash.
To be fair Poppy only earned a salary of £498,750 in 21/22 so I can understand the struggles that she must face on a daily basis.

Great effort Charles I have not read so much nonsense in a post since the days of Toff.
I am still waiting for the £6.50 you promised us would arrive in June and the £8 by year end.

Not sure it did to be honest Watchman. Didn't the Darktrace Employee Benefit Trust pick up around 900K of these shares on the 21st.
I still believe in Dark and for now will hold. However there are some Red Flags that are starting to appear. If they keep using cash out of the businesses to buy back each others shares then give them straight back a few months later, I will be definitely out.

The one thing I do commend you for Charles is you can put a positive slant on anything Dark related.
If Poppy purposely ran over a brood of Ducklings you would link it to some avian bird flu culling.

Lending many thanks for the post and I am fully aware of Intrinsic value and how it works.
If you honestly think Charles has any idea how to work out and estimate the FCF of a business when he cant even read an RNS correctly you are in for a rude awakening.
Anyway the point still stands the current value of the business is not £5.20.

Actually at time of posting this it is valued at 376.90

Just for any newbies that have joined the board I would like to clarify that the following is not based on any facts and is just a wild guess from the poster.
"Any buyout of ever happens will likely br well North of 800 p"
There has never been any figure mentioned on the last buy out attempt by TB but considering the market valued DARK at around £5 after it was announced make up your own assumptions. IMO don't wait for an £8 buyout that isn't happening.

Just to add clarity to the 8.50 discussed. The actual quote in the Telegraph was.
"It came as one investor in Darktrace indicated they would want to see an offer of at least £8 per share, double its price before Thoma Bravo’s interest was revealed, before considering any offer."
The mention of £8 was not linked to anyone from Darktrace and actually just some Investor.

I like it. Hopefully it will get voted through. I thought back in August they needed to pay nearer 30 and glad that they have come back with an increased offer and are using that cash surplus in acquisitions.

Considering the 50 day moving average is 341.96 and the 200 day moving average is 386.87 I would not exactly call 370 the lows.
