It is a good question Watchman that no-one will ever know the answer too. Except CR888 who will make something up and push it as fact.
The one thing we can guarantee is those shares will be replaced FOC very soon.
Considering she has only ever bought 115,068 the remaining 234,932 must have been from the freebies she accidently keeps giving herself.
I am going to hazard a guess that another 750,000 will suddenly appear transferred to Poppy this year.
Tosh I agree this form of share buy back is the only share buy back that benefits shareholders.
Though considering at IPO there was - 697,630,127shares and Currently there is 719,705,647 they are only buying the same shares that they diluted shareholders with over the past 12 months. At least that is a positive.
Though what I think is the greatest move by the board is they gifted each other the extra 21 million shares during dilution which decreased they free float and now with the new buy back they are decreasing the free float further whilst using the businesses free cash flow. Just issue free lube why don't you.
Tosh even you can agree that is one shrewd move.
The share buyback is a great idea to fight back at the short and close it down. Once that is done there would be no point in continuing the buy back and you are right it could have a negative affect on image. But then again they are only buying back the shares that they have diluted the shareholders with over the past 12 months so not much difference.
Bridgedogg1 don't get me wrong I applaud the buy back program and wish they had been doing this instead of syphoning into an already bulging employee share scheme.
However my point is that PI and now yourself is using the word "Committed" which when used in an official document puts on record that this will be done. They have never used committed in the RNS they said "of up to 35 million" & "The maximum amount allocated to the Programme is £75 million".
The reason businesses refrain in using the word committed is because it allows them the opportunity to back out of it. Which Dark will do when they eventually close the short down.
PI yes exactly what I have posted. No where in the RNS does it say committed, It says up to and allocated.
You are assuming that they will spend all of that £75m when it clearly states "The maximum amount allocated".
"Allocated" not "Committed" being what allows them to stop it when they feel like it.
PI - "DT are committed to buying £75M worth of shares by a certain date this year."
They never said they were committed to buying anything. They said they will buy up to 35million shares and have allocated £75m. If after spending lets say £30million they have closed the short down you are more likely to see the share buy back program close.
I actually think this is a great move by Polly now all we need here to do is invest the £2m she has left from the 575,00 she sold last year. To be fair she has been gifted 1,473,130 free shares over the past 12 months and bought a further 67,068 so she isn't exactly queuing up at the food banks.
Toff calling Sheltie egoistical reminded me of the greatest post of last year.
“What I find especially satisfying is that when I sell my shares for £7/8 I know Shadowfall are going to be the ones buying.”
Still makes me laugh that the proclaimed King of the Game has not a pot to pi ss in because shadowfall did not buy his shares.
"Berenberg analysts said in a note on Wednesday that many of the report's conclusions were "based on issues taken out of context and at minimum hard to validate".
Haha never far away protecting the cash cow.
How long do we think it will take Berenberg to come out with a new Broker Rating and at what price.
They are about to make a tidy sum from the £100m share buy back program so I am expecting them to bow to their paymasters and increase to the rating to £7.
Amazes me that nobody has highlighted that since the IPO they have increased the shares in circulation by adding 22,075,520 which they gifted to themselves. So now they are going to use UPTO £75m of the businesses money to reduce the shares.
No smoke without fire.
Keep going Charles I only need 1 more to complete the daily
Charles Bullsh*t Bingo card.
