Bobocaca they have already diluted the shares since IPO by adding 22,075,520. That is a 3.16% increase in shares and the same decrease in your ownership of the business.
As for share buybacks they are all well and good when the company is making money apple, mastercard, google etc. But when you posted only a 1.46m profit in the last accounts you can not justify spending £25m of the businesses money buying back shares that the business can not afford. Let us also not forget these share buy backs are not reducing the overall shares in circulation currently 719,705,647 which would be a benefit to shareholders. They are bought to line the pockets of the Directors.
There is no positive slant on any of that. I say it again they are stealing money from the shareholders.
RED FLAGS on any business that uses money they don't have to line their own pockets.

I actually thought there was some positives to take out of the report yesterday. Not many and definitely not as good as was hoped but it could have been a lot worse.
But todays RNS once again highlights how we are all getting mugged off by a board with the sole intention of lining there own pockets. Forget that in just under 18 months of trading on the stock market we have already had our shares diluted so that they could gift each other extra stock. Now after yesterdays lackluster report we a greeted by a new notification that does not shock me. They have decided to allocate another £25 million of the businesses money to buy back shares to once again line their own pockets. Also if anyone has any doubt in whether Berenberg should be trusted the £25m also includes brokerage and dealing charges. Surprise surprise that is Jeffries and Berenberg no wonder they keep pumping out fake numbers.
Anyone thinking of getting into Darktrace do some serious due diligence and ask yourself why do the board keep stealing money from the shareholders.
At this point my £3.80 target might be nearer £3 to get out of this joke of a business.

I agree Hindy the information is out there in the last 12 months the most paid by any Director was £3.69 however directors have bought 155,100 shares at an average of £3.34 and sold 1,575,000 at an average of £4.83.
Though lets not forget the 2,572,005 that 2 of them were given for free.

Onsolidground with Darktrace I would not use any of the CEOs share purchases as an assumption of fair value. She has sold 507,392 more than she has bought in the last 12 months.

You pay the initial 0.5% stamp duty but after that any profits are in the tax wrapper

Sometimes stocks just fallout of favor not helped by some actions in the last 6months by the board. I agree with Bobocaca once it stabilizes we could be on a very slow crawl back up to £3.30 at best. I will admit I made a big error I bought more at what a viewed a good price £2.87 to reduce my average. Although I have said previously there are some red flags starting to show and I should have stuck with my instincts and sell at £3.40. For now I am not yet willing to cut my losses and write the mid 4 figure loss off.
Though with a global recession on the horizon I might have to take that pain.

Pulled the trigger at £2.87 all though I do think it could drop to 2.80. I have got a busy few days coming up and couldn't be bothered with a limit order and waiting for £2.80 it was only going to save me couple of hundred quid on the 7p difference anyway.

It could just be the markets being the markets. Lets not forget we all value this business higher because we have a vested interest. For anyone looking in from the outside they would value this business a lot less than we do based on its fundamentals. Dark only just made a profit on £415.48m but are still syphoning money out of it like no tomorrow.

Anyway if it drops to £2.80 again I am loading up to drop my average.
